Product seems to be nicely made, but for our 9 lb Boston terrier puppy, it is tight in the chest, wide in the neck, and long in the length. This will last a couple of weeks before he grows out of it. So, a medium is okay for now, but obviously won't be used much. If the fleece was a little wider, I would give it 4 stars. Perhaps a more narrow-chested dog like a Chihuahua would fit better in this style.

Originally ordered medium for my jack russell, too small. He's short and chesty. I ordered large, it fit length... but it was little tight around his chest. My Boston Terrier and I absolutely love this vest. It's fleece so she's warm enough in it on a cool day or night, and it's thin enough that she can wear a jacket over it in the winter. She seems to be more comfortable in this than any other clothing we've bought; she prefers to sleep through the night with it on when it's chilly. I think part of the comfort is due to the roomy arm holes so she never feels constricted like she does in a lot of other items, plus it's really the perfect fit for her shape too, and it has a little bit of stretch to it. The metal ring on the back is an awesome final touch; she's not too crazy of a puller on a leash so it's really nice to be able to just hook the leash to this jacket to run her outside without having to put a harness or a collar on her, and the metal ring has held up nicely without tearing away from the vest, even though we use it all the time.
I ordered the collared vest and initially received the hooded vest instead, but customer service was excellent and shipped me out the correct item right away.
