I purchased this per a recommendation from a veterinarian because my obese (but very loving) cat gets hairballs daily. To give you some background, I have a cat that eats everything and is obsessed with food. When I adopted him at five months old, the family that was fostering him had already nicknamed him "Eat" for his penchant for eating. If I leave any food out whatsoever (even if it's sealed), he will get into it. It's not uncommon for me to wake up to a crash in the middle of the night because he has yet again successfully tipped over a cookie jar or other food repository. I have even found aluminum foil in his poop. I literally have to lock up the food in the house like Fort Knox to control his eating. However, my cat WILL NOT EAT THIS. I have tried squeezing it out into his bowl directly, smearing it on his paw (horrible idea because he ended up wiping his paw all over the house to get it off) and I've even tried applying it directly to his lips. He just won't have it. My other cat (with no hairball issues) loves it, and one of my dogs just licked the residue out of the bowl, but my cat that eats everything avoids this stuff like the plague. Cosmic irony at its finest. I've provided a picture of said incorrigible kitty for reference.

Our cat had a cough for a few days as if he couldnt get a hairball up- the vet suggested this product, and within a few days, he was just fine!

We still had to corner him and shove it down his throat, it wasn't as if it was the tastiest thing to him as the description makes it seem, but it's better than a pill- and better than a $300 vet bill! Was glad to be able to purchase it on Amazon.

Give it to my cats regularly.....does what it says it will....and for the most part, they love it. Either spread some on my finger and the cat will lick it off or squeeze some gradually out of the tube and let the cat lick it.......works.

My old cat has constipation problem my vet suggests cat lax. After taking this regularly it helps him from going to toilet every 3-4 days to a more normal frequency of every 1-2 days. The stools are less hard and he suffers less.

My cats won't touch this stuff, so I won't be ordering it again. However, my daughter's cat LOVES his Cat Lax, even meows for it. He's had major constipation issues and this seems to really help. Maybe that's why he likes it ... he knows it works! I bought the Cat Lax for hairball control, which obviously doesn't help if the cats won't eat it. Fortunately, I've found that the Vet's Best Hairball Relief Digestive Aid tabs work great AND my cats love them.

Does what it says it will. Just wish it came in a larger sized tube (so it would last a bit longer). Kitty loves it..needs no coaxing to eat the stuff.

When my cats are upchucking my vet told me to put a dab of this med on their paw. It truly helps calm them down.
