Complete waste of my time and money. I could never figure out how to get this software to work for me. I wanted something that would help me draw my ideas for my house to scale before passing it on to my design/ build team. The architect's ruler and paper and pencil was very time consuming and didn't lend to changes. I'm trained in the communications field so I learned to use a fair amount of diverse software for publishing, but I'm not experienced in building or designing. I did not find this software to be intuitive and even after watching videos that were supposed to give instructions, I was still at a loss. I was also disappointed in the options available to import so that you didn't start from scratch on your design. There was next to nothing for a two-story 3500 to 5000 square foot house. I'm a very busy person (like most of us) and didn't have dozens of hours to invest in learning this program just so that I could use it. I bought the program to save myself time. I ended up just using a free program called floor planner online but I would have preferred something with all the features this software was supposed to offer. If you are savvy in the industry or have design software experience, maybe this will work for you, but it was a complete disaster for me.

I'm used to the old 3D home architect which was a each to use program. The more I use this the more i'm liking it. I would like to see better use for the exterior decks. As we all know..submitting a deck plan for permit requires detail including joist view and span detail.

This program is very difficult, don't think you will sit down and design a structure. My daughter is a website architect and she said, it is not that user friendly, she had a lot of trouble, just coming up with a little lean to off the back of the house. Needless to say, we were all disappointed and had hopes of designing an addition off the back of our house. I guess if you have a lot of time on your hands, you will eventually figure it out. Another friend told me he spoke to an architect friend about this program and he said, "Forget it, it is very difficult even for me." Of course, this information came to late for us. Oh well, maybe eventually.
