As the title suggests, I'm sure there are many people out there with a good experience with this board, I just wanted to let you know my personal experience. Wish I could've rated it better..

And secondly, I bought this board from Newegg.com, same product though.

-----Pros: Has all the features I would need in a motherboard. Wasn't going to overclock and I wanted good onboard sound quality.

I really like the power/reset button on the motherboard, ended up being really helpful for the many hours spent troubleshooting why it wasn't working (as the MD was not in a case, bare bones PC only CPU, heatsink, ram, PSU, and motherboard).

-----Cons: Hence the 2 star ratting, now the bad part. The unit was flaky for me. I bought thinking I'd give ECS a chance because I would also be possibly saving $70 compared to what else I'd get (w/ a $50 rebate that is). But alas, that didn't work out. Honestly, I really wanted it to though.

The Problem:

I'm done with the motherboard. Now two weeks later and multiple all day sessions working on it, one RMA, 5+ hours on combined technical support with Elitegroup for the motherboard, Antec(case), and Corsair (PSU) and it ends up being the motherboard can't take the weight of the CPU heatsink (a mere Coolermaster 212 EVO, not that heavy I think) without, apparently, flexing the board just enough to make the ram sockets 1 and 2 completely fail. (I could hold the heatsink to the motherbard and the issue was resolved, sad...) And putting the motherboard flat also resolved the issue. Checked and rechecked to make sure the tension levels and tightness on the CPU cooler wasn't too much, nope wasn't the problem either.Read more ›

I had very similar issues with this board that the last reviewer had.

The first board I got was faulty and would crash. Could't find the solution after countless hours of troubleshooting.
The next RMA board I got failed after a few months. Ram slots causing crashing, then the board just died entirely.
I used a 212 evo also, so maybe there is something incompatible with the cooler and board.
Regardless, this board will cause problems. Don't buy it.

I work several OS and thisMB is stable and reliable from day 1. By the way: excellent sound (just need an amplifier, in my system works excellent the FiiO E09K).
