Don't use water to clean up

LOVE this product for making fondant shiny - I used it on some little lady bugs that I made for a birthday cake and it worked great. However, when I received the product from shipping the lid was cracked and some had leaked out into the box and all down the sides of the bottle. Without thinking, I grabbed a wet washcloth to clean up, which was a total mistake, before I knew it, I had it everywhere. Apparently water coagulates this stuff - it congealed it, clumped it up, and seemed to make it stickier. Thank goodness I also purchased the "glaze thinner" as well, which I grabbed out of the box. It cleaned up the gooey mess well. So, my advice for sure is; you MUST purchase the glaze and the thinner together or you might find yourself (pardon the pun) in a very sticky predicament!

A great product!

I bought this to use for my fondant work in cake decorating. It really works well. It gives a very nice finish to your product. Instead of being dull and lifeless, the fondant is polished and shiny. I recommend it highly for anyone who wants their fondant work to have an added finished shine.

Nice product, but...

Gives nice glaze to gumpaste elements.
however it has a strong smell of nail polish what makes it suspicious how safe it is for edible use.
In addition, it is harmful for the brushes. Use a cheap one that you don't mind throwing away after one time use.

Good product. I purchased this glaze to paint an entire cake that was designed to look like glazed pottery. The product was easy to use, covered well and provided an excellent gloss/sheen. My only issue with the glaze is that it doesn't dry clear, the color of the glaze adds an ivory/peach tint to the fondant, I didn't really mind this as the end result tied in to the theme very well. I wouldn't use this product however if I wanted to retain a white color as it does discolor gumpaste and fondant upon application. Overall I was very pleased with the glaze, and I would use this glaze on other products such as sugar berries and floral work.

Great for adhering edible glitter to decorations

Works ok

Works good, but doesn't work on luster dust, it runs if used on powder. Also it seems to dry and lose its glaze after a few hours.
