I tried these patches in the 11/4x11/4 size for cleaning .22 rifles and the jag pushed straight through the patch on everyone I tried. These are the cotton knit patches. I tried the cotton flannel patches from the same company and they seen to work much better for .22 rifles. All of those held together and did a great job of cleaning the bore. Now the cotton flannel patches were 1' square while the cotton knit were 11/4" square so you could argue they were too tight which caused the jag to push through. But I can tell you for certain the cotton flannel patches are stronger and more durable than the knit. Even my oiled cotton knit patches tore through with very little force so I don't think the little bit of extra material was the problem. These are great patches, but I will only buy the cotton flannel from here on out as they seem far more durable. The cotton knit seems to tear with pointed jags far too easy.

Pretty thin and hard to pierce with a patchworm (trimmer string type pull through bore cleaner). Similar to Winchester brand. I like something thicker and more absorbent like the Skyline brand patches. Will do the job okay, though.

The patches were perfect for my .308 Savage bolt action rifle. A much more tighter fit than the ones that came in the Hoppe's No. 9 kit. They go in pretty snug but it assures you they are clenaing very well. Will definitely be purchasing again!

Great cleaning strips. I like them more then the Hoppes cleaning strips. These aren't completely smooth like the Hoppes which allows it to collect more of the residue when cleaning your gun.

What can I say. It does the job! Some patches if ran quite roughly will leave some lint on your gun but it isn't that bad. Just make sure to not use sparingly and this will do the job!
