This scissors is wonderful for tiny hands. I bought this for my son who just introduced scissors in his preschool class. So I was looking for some kid friendly scissor which is safe for his hands and same time easy to use it. I got a great price with excellent reviews so I decided to try this. I bought red color scissors and when it arrived I was happy with the heavy duty construction of it.

We used this scissors during my son's last craft project last weekend and it turnout great. It has nice sharp blades from inner side enough to cut crafts papers easily with light weight from kids' hands. It has big handle to easy to use by kids. My son loves using this scissors and use it whenever we do some kind of crafts at home.

I'm surprised at all of the positive reviews. These Fishers were so tight that my young art student, a four year old girl, couldn't work them at all at first. I had to keep loosening the screw until she could manage them. But now they feel like they're going to fall apart, yet it's still tight when she initially opens them up. I can't believe it's so expensive. Just to experiment, I got another student of mine, another four year old, these scissors: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PIXW8I. They're half the price (!) and definitely easier to work with, plus the handle is a soft plastic which is nice on the child's hands. The only downside to the Westcotts is that you can't choose the color. When I bought the Fiskars, I thought it would be nice to choose the color (my student loves pink!), but now I wish I'd just gone with the Westcotts because I think she'd have a better *first* experience with scissors.

No complaints. These are quality scissors - just as I'd expect from Fiskars. We appreciate being able to cap them. Although these are rounded, it helps us teach scissors safety. Our 4 year old uses them to cut paper, ribbon and packages, working hard to cut cardboard instead of the tap. Despite the extra force, they are solid.

I own a daycare so bought some of these for the kids. I like that they are a bit stiff. It takes the kids a bit more pressure to use them. So there is less chance of an accident due to cutting to fast. Will be buying more.

These scissors are great, They actually cut well and don't cut skin but be warned they WILL cut hair and fabric. My almost 3 year old is taking an interest in scissors so I bought these, they are small enough that she can open and close them (though not completely). I wouldn't recommend buying these at this price as they are available at numerous office supply/big box stores for a third of the price.
