I live in Clarkston, Washington which is typically the hottest city in Washington State during the summertime as this city is located deep in a gorge created by the Columbian Basin. This summer has seen a record of triple digits and I needed to find a cooler that could help cool off my bedroom as I sleep by day and work by night. I've only had this cooler for a few days and so far I am able to sleep like a baby!! I would recommend this cooler to anyone wanting to cool down a room to a comfortable level! Thank you NewAir for helping me to sleep during these hot summer months!!!

I was super excited to get this swamp cooler since I live in the desert and this is our way of cooling the house because of how dry it is. I loved the red color and portability and the fact that it purified the air ,but it definitely had some downsides.

Let's start with pros:
Pretty color
Easy to move around
Purifies air: this feature worked really well and we all felt and instant difference.
Easy to use features

Now before I start with the cons let me say that I really did try this many different ways, different days nd I really wanted to love it, but alas, the cons:
Loud! So loud no one could sleep through it. All the settings were the same loudness.
It did not cool, the fan and swamp cooler were exactly the same, to temperature difference even by their thermostat settings. My house swamp cooler blows icy cool air when on cool and room temp air on fan but this was room temp both settings. We adjusted water and no change.
Water is a mess to add. You can't empty the water so if there is some in it left you have to tip the machine and hope it drips out.
It does not cool unless blowing directly on you. The room temp never changed when it was on, and it was a small enclosed bedroom.

Overall, as an air purifier and fan it did work and as long as it was blowing on you, it felt cooler but the loudness and inability to cool a room is definitely a downside.

I live in Coloraodo. Just got this baby a few days back. So far, very underwhelming. The manual is lacks key information, only some of which I was able to find online. It lacks information on how to install the filters and a key to let you know the meaning of the indicator lights. Gonna give a couple more days but so far just blowing air around. Sweating in Denver!

I had to wait 2 months for delivery from the manufacturer. Upon receipt, I noticed a leak. I contacted NewAir customer support via email and phone. My call went straight to voicemail. My email has not been responded to. This may be an isolated scenario, but I am extremely disappointed in the support received from NewAir. I will not be buying any more products from NewAir.

Purchased cooler because it had the best of the reviews. Used it during the July 4th weekend when it was 90 degrees here in Washington. Its output temperature was 87 degrees. I looked at a chart of what swamp coolers should put out and at 90 deg. with 20% humidity it should be at 70 degrees, 20 deg. lower than the outside temperature. The unit was running properly, waterfall working well and filter was nice and wet. I returned it! No idea why it had such poor performance.

I was expecting a little more. I know this is not an air conditioner-- but for me it turned out to be an expensive $200 fan. 100 degree day. 11% humidity and it actually was able to raise the temp to 88 degrees from 84 degrees following all instructions. The filter was wet so it was working when I took off the back panel. We filled the reservoir about 1/4 full of ice too.. I could have got the same results with a $20 fan blowing across an ice cube tray. Total waste of money. I wish I could give it 0 stars--no such luck.

To whom it may concern: I bought model AF 351 and had problems with it so I contacted Customer Service/Sales, regarding the AF351 and was told that the model in question is no longer available so I was sent a new model AF 1000W of which I am very please with it and it works great. I want to thank Mireya in Customer Service, for all the help she gave me, and I feel that y'all are very luckly to have Mireya working for you she was of great help!!!
