“Although there was barely any reviews on this tower speaker I took a chance with this low price and bought 1 for my basement. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the sound this speaker produces and the ease of use to connect my iPhone to it via Bluetooth. I was also easily able to listen to some radio stations. All in all this is a great sounding device and definitely worth a lot more than its price”

For $39.99, you'd expect a lackluster sound because, of course, there are supposedly better speakers for more money in the hundreds of dollars with better reviews online. But as someone who has had various speakers, expensive and not-so expensive throughout the years, this is bar none, the best.

Being a hip-hop head, hearing the bass is priority, and this speaker does it justice. I haven't even attempted to turn the volume all the way up but sometimes I can hear the bass outside of my house as if there was a subwoofer inside making the sound. In addition, there is no static when streaming music from my iPhone. When streaming videos off of YouTube, there is slight static but I soon realized it was the video and not the speaker.

In addition to the sound, the look and design is important to me as well. I wanted a plain black speaker that does not look too decked out (saw one that even had Christmas lights), and this surpassed my expectations.

I recommend.

The sound from this speaker was bigger than I expected it to be once you max out the volume on your device. It fills our house with music, but even on maximum, we won't be having a rock party. This is for casual listening in our home and it serves this purpose quite well. The bass is adequate. The Bluetooth pairing was extremely easy and took about 30 sec for my 8 year old son to complete, but the range is not that far, only about 20 feet and it requires line of sight or the connection cuts out. One odd thing is the DC cord hooks to the top of the speaker which is an odd placement. It would have been better to place this at the bottom of the speaker. It's also a bit inconvenient that it does not have a place to put your device like a small plastic stand if you need to hard wire your device to the speaker. The included cord is very short so you will need to buy a longer cord if you hard wire your device regularly. I did not buy the device for the FM radio so I have not tried it yet. Overall, for an economical Bluetooth speaker, this is very nice and serves it purpose well. If you plan on having really loud parties that shake the windows, you should buy a different speaker.

This is a really good product for the price. Good amount of wattage and pretty clear sound. If you change the equalizer it gets even better. The Bluetooth connected to my iPhone very easily. This tower speaker was a great option for me. I didn't want a soundbar, and a home theater just wasn't necessary. I'm pleasently surprised by the quality of this tower speaker. If your thinking about getting one you really should.

I am not able to recommend this product. I purchased this item from Superstore, and we were told this speaker has one year warranty, on Oct 25, 2014. The product clearly states it is Sylvania. We used this speaker once or twice a week due to its Bluetooth capabilities. On April 5th the Bluetooth disconnected and it appears that it is dead. Tried everything, resetting and rebooting, with no luck.

Called 1-800-968-9853 warranty service of Sylvania, and the lady behind the phone told us she can't recognize the product! after some back and forth she gave us a different number stating the product is only endorsed by Sylvania!. We called 1-800-968-9853 and after 17 minutes troubleshooting I was told that product is only under warranty for 90 days and if we need a repair there is a $30 shipping fee to Sylvania repair center plus the repair charges.

On a second call to Sylvania I was told the product is not a true Sylvania product and I had to called the original manufacturer, who refused to hold the warranty.

I will not recommend this product as Sylvania doesn't want to endorse the one year warranty, as we were told. If it is not Sylvania then there should not be a Sylvania name on it with their number.

Decent sound for the price. Not bad but not great either. Blue tooth connectivity is very weak though. If the device you are streaming the music from gets more than a few feet away the blue tooth signal will start cut out and get very choppy. I've bought far cheaper devices that have much stronger blue tooth capabilities than this, very disappointing. Better off coughing up a little more cash for something higher quality.

This is amazing. The sound quality is really fantastic for the price. The bass is adequate, though if you want something that truly booms I would opt for a set with a separate sub woofer. The volume this thing is capable is astonishing. A bit of a hassle is that there is no display to show you EQ, stations, volume numbers, etc. The price point makes this impossible to argue as less than five stars for me, however. A huge draw for me was the FM radio, but the navigation between stations is a bit tricky, again, no indicator. I am a one, maybe two station kind of guy though, so I don't really care.
