I am pleased with my purchased of these gloves. I did a bit of research and decided I wanted the silicone gloves with five fingers vs the mittens. These gloves fit my hands well and I can still grab utensils, etc.
Some other things to consider
1) they only cover your hands and don't go very far up past your wrists. not a problem for me but just keep in mind
2) there seem to be a LOT of the same exact gloves all over amazon for wide variations in price. I couldn't find any big difference in quality so I decided on these for about $15. I am glad I spent less to get what appears to be similar quality.
3) they are easy to clean
I would recommend these. As an FYI, I usually only give 5 stars if something EXCEEDS my expectations. These gloves adequately met my expectations and deserve a 4-star quality rating.

These gloves are great for my BBQ tasks. Yes, they do get hot if you hold something for a while, but once you know their limits they are so handy. I've pulled hot corn off the grill, pulled pork while it's hot, gotten pans out of the oven and have reached into boiling water to pull out sealed vac-bags. I used them for about a week, then bought another pair for when the wife and I team up on a cook.

Video note: I am demonstrating a black-colored version of these gloves in the video, which other than that they are virtually identical.

Suggestion: Use these for wet, hot tasks (e.g. pulling crab out of pots) or poking meat around on the BBQ. They clean up incredibly easily. I would not recommend using these when walking around holding a hot dutch oven, fire poker, or turning red-hot logs in a fire pit.

FYI: If you're handling a hot piece of metal for long periods of time, there isn't any reasonably priced product that will perfectly insulate your soft, squishy flesh. You may invest in NASA Kevlar mittens if you'd like or $50 deerskin welding gloves (which are excellent for BBQ pits), but just note there are limitations to these gloves (as with any product).

For their given use, 5/5 stars. I'll be honest, they totally blew me away. It's rather unnerving handling a hot piece of metal with rubber gloves... there's something in your brain that's screaming "THESE WILL MELT TO MY HANDS!" But they didn't.

Personally I use these when BBQing outside, and when I have to arrange fragile fish or simply roll some hot dogs around. Hands down much better than dealing with tongs.

Pros:
- Very reasonably priced here on Amazon.
- Cleans up fast (unlike my thick wool/cotton oven mitts).
- Grippy and surprisingly comfortable (unlike my slippery wool/cotton oven mitts... gripping a glass dish is much easier with these).
- Handled a hot, 300 degree piece of metal (see video)... not a mark on the gloves, and I felt just a slight bit of warmth.
- Handy eyelets allow you to hang them on your BBQ or in the garage.Read more ›

This is a great product. I have considered purchasing heat gloves several times in the past and just never made the purchase, I saw the deal on these and decided the time was now to give the concept a try. I ordered these and they quickly were delivered to my house. I put them to the test immediately expecting the gloves to be somewhat effective and I was wrong, I was impressed with how they performed. From removal of glass baking dishes directly from the oven to hot pan handles on the stove top they were great. No heat was felt at all through the glove. None, I was so pleased that they were everything that they were advertised to be. I think they are great and would and have recommend them to family and friends. Great deal for a great product.

Husband uses these when he smokes and shreds meat. They work great and they get thrown in the dishwasher to be cleaned! Doesn't get much much easier! One thing to note that the picture doesn't show well is that the bumps on the gloves are actually little hearts... Not so manly.

I've had this set for about one year and have used them quite often. I reach for my hot pink Gator Gloves when the job is of course hot, but especially if it is also wet, messy or greasy. Say if I want to test if a baking chicken is done, I can just reach in with my Gator gloved hand and squish the thigh and leg meat to see if it's tender. I've used it to turn over a turkey or pull hot meat from poultry, or divide up a roast. I make chicken stock a lot and can reach in and pull out the carcass, no problem, then pull the meat away from the breast, etc. I like that I can wash them in the sink and dry them and be done with it, as opposed to my cloth mitts which can get super grungy and then have to go through the washer and dryer. They do a really great job at protecting my hands from the hot objects I'm holding but be forewarned you can't continuously hold a hot pan from the oven for a long period of time as it will begin to get quite warm inside the gloves. Normally one isn't holding onto hot pans for long periods of time so that shouldn't be too much of a concern. My grill hasn't been working but I can see using these to readjust or move the grate. I bought my pair to use at Thanksgiving and am really glad I have them!
