Moto GP has been out in Europe for some time, and rarely do I say this, but I wish I'd spent a little extra and imported that version earlier. Milestone has been making these games for years, and once the bikes hit the track, their experience shows. At no time does it just feel like you're racing two-wheeled cars- these machines are deceptively fast and they understeer like crazy. Couple that to the very real possibility of crashing your bike in a variety of ways if you get it wrong, and you get an exciting game not to be missed, especially if you follow the Moto GP series.

The best way to get into Moto GP 14 is to hone your craft on one of the junior 250cc or 400cc bikes. They're slower but strangely more fun to race, since their performance is much more accessible. Starting with the 1000cc monsters at the top can be an exercise in frustration, as even the larger tracks on offer struggle to contain these road rockets. In any case, there are a variety of driving aids and difficulty sliders to ease you into the game- no training wheels though! Controls, which can be a little unwieldy in bike games, are just about perfect on their default setting.

Graphics are clean and functional, but it's pretty easy to tell this is just a last-gen game cleaned up for the new system. It's not a bad-looking game by any means, and you'll be concentrating too much on the racing to care, but don't look for any next-gen polish in the visuals. The bikes look great, but the tracks get the job done and that's about it. Each track does have its own character and riding characteristics that go along with it, so they require a lot of practice to set a good time.Read more ›

I have been playing Milestone SBK games for several years now and I wanted to check this out and I am glad I did! I started with a big bike on instant race, and then I decided to race "Moto GP Career" mode and was surprised when I started on a 250cc in the MOTO 3 class. These slow bikes are so much fun! Its a good move so that for us "common folk" we can control the bike better than the 160hp monsters. Which they also have the 500cc two-strokes in this game!! Awesome! When I stop crashing so much, I can't wait to ride one effectively!
This is the best from Milestone that I have seen and I can't stop playing it lately!

Very good, but you have to appreciate that it is a MotoGP simulator and not MarioKart. Provided you have the patience to learn how to operate a bike on the track with a controller, it can be very satisfying.

That said, I'd trade it for another track day in a heart beat.

This is a really neat game, but there is a pretty steep learning curve. There are a lot of courses, different riders that you can select, and
many other options. You can also play two players racing against each other. My two grandsons had a ball with it.

This simulator game has very detailed tracks and responses. I have a motorcycle and love how much this game resembles many of real live techniques of my motorcycle. The tracks and bike movements are very realistic.

Please do not buy this game unless you are really into MotoGP. If you just want a fun speedy racing game then this is not for you. This game is much more focused on the intricacies of MotoGP than on fun arcade racing. I thought a challenge would be fun, but this game is too simulated to be fun. Having said that, if you really like MotoGP culture then you will like this game.

My husband enjoyed this game, but was disappointed that Laguna Seca track was not on there. If you aren't a rider though, might not be as interesting.
