I wear an 8 in women's chacos and got a big kid 6. The brown pair is women's 8 and the black is kids. They fit basically the same and the kids are cheaper. I have 4 pairs and absolutely love them! Plus they're super comfy and last forever!

I am an 18 year old girl. I bought these cause I have an abnormally small foot (I'm a 2 1/2 to be exact). This is due to a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy. I struggle with finding any open-toed shoe or sandal period that will fit my foot. It's short, wide & tall. By tall I mean I have a very high arch. This shoe not only fit my awkwardly shaped foot but it provides great support and the fit is better than any other sandal I've ever worn. I'll be wearing the crap out of these things because my other alternative is tennis shoes with a stylish leg brace in sight for everyone to gawk at. I couldn't be more happy. :)

Love love these sandals. I also own the Zx1 design. The ONLY difference is the strapping. I wear a size 5 US, a 35 EU, and a 3 UK. I USED THE CHACO CHART, AND CHOSE THE CM CHOICE. I MEASURED FROM THE TIP OF MY LONGEST TOE TO MY HEEL WHEN STANDING (22.5 cm), first I went with a kid size 3, but it was huge-reordered a kids 2! Yay! PERFECT. ATTRACTIVE, DURABLE, WAY COMFY. THEY HAVE GREAT ARCH SUPPORT AS WELL, WITH A SLIGHTLY NEGATIVE HEEL. So, if you wear a women's US 5 through 8-8.5, you should try a kids size 2 through 6. Kids sizes are IDENTICAL TO ADULT SIZES, BUT COST LESS THAN ADULTS BY MORE THAN 50%, and Amazon offers discounts for some colors and sizes. I was able to purchase mine for $35 as opposed to $120 for adult sizes, though your experience may be different. Oh, and did I mention that I am 69 years old lol.

Perfect for my active and outdoorsy 5 year old

Perfect for my active and outdoorsy 5 year old. They are so easy for him to put on by himself and provide a lot more stability and support than most kids' sandals. He used to wear Keens exclusively but they would stink SO badly after getting wet--these don't! Worth the money!

A pair of "sole" mates.

We are a family of Chaconians. I cannot say enough about the quality, durability and comfort of these sandals. This is my oldest son's third pair of chacos and the other two have been passed down to his siblings as he's outgrown them. They are worn daily, and I mean daily - not only for going out to stores but for going outside to play and to work in our vegetable and herb gardens. The adjustable straps expand as the foot grows in width and can be tightened up or loosened in just a few moments. The non slip trip has excellent grip, even on the slick wet tile around our pool and patio. If the webbing on the shoes ever breaks (which we only experienced once in a decade old pair of my husband's Z1s) you simply mail them back to Chaco and they restrap the shoe(s) for a nominal fee. They are the most comfortable shoes any of us own, and they provide excellent arch support, even after owning them for over a decade. They also are very easy to clean, just toss them in the washer or wear them while rafting on your favorite class IV whitewater river.

Ugly Jesus Sandals

A friend of mine has been trying to convince me to by Chacos for some time. I always thought them horrifically ugly and not worth the price. However, when I saw them on sale on Amazon, I decided to grab a pair to try. Although I have yet to wear these shoes all day long, I have worn them for around 5 hours straight very comfortably. I work at an indoor aquatic center, so comfortable and breathable sandals are a big plus. This summer I am looking forward to wearing them for more extended periods of time, and in different situations. I can certainly see them as being good everyday or camp sandals. I also hope to wear them kayaking, although I wonder about the sole rubbing or remaining wet, as it fits to the foot very closely.

I wear 8.5 running shoes, but can wear 7.5 to 9 in different shoe styles, depending on the fit. The size 5 Big Kids seem to fit me well, although I wonder if the size 6 would have allowed for more room for my toes-- I have about a quarter of an inch between my toe and the edge of the shoe. The aesthetics of the shoe no longer bother me-- the more I wear them, the cuter I seem to find them. I thank my friend for convincing me, she was right.

Very comfy for adults or kids!

I am a woman, usually 8.5 in sandals. I got these in kids size 6, and they are perfect. Very comfortable, awesome arch support. I have worn them every day for six weeks; they look the same as before and feel great. I walk at least two miles a day, often more, and no problems.

Chaco z1 size bigger than flips
