Disclaimer!!!! DO NOT let your cat lick this stuff. When applying it, be sure to put it high up on the shoulder blade where your cat has the most difficulty in reaching it and hang out with the cat for around an hour to make sure it doesn't groom itself. Our cat got some of this on its tongue and it started salivating like it was having a seizure. After about 20 minutes he was absolutely fine, but it scared the hell out of us.

All of that being said, this product works amazingly. We tried a product with the main ingredient that Frontline uses and it had no effect. However, within 24 hours of using Advantage II, Thunder Kitty was 95% flee free. I say 95% because its likely he's picking up the new flea here and there. Overall, it works amazingly, but again....DO NOT LET YOU CAT LICK THIS STUFF!

Advantage works really well. I live in a very aggressive flea area. I need to use it every three weeks. One time I waited too long (money issues) and ended up having to use a flea bomb along with the Advantage. This ended up costing more in the long run. Don't think that Advantage is all you have to do; if your infestation is severe, as good as Advantage is, you will have to deal with the fleas in the bedding, carpet, couch, etc.

This was our first time trying Advantage ll. Our cat was having a terrible time with fleas, first time in years it was this bad. He is black and white with a mostly white face. He was so bad you could see them on his face. All he did was scratch, we needed something to hopefully give him some quick relief. We've always purchased our flea products from our vet (at a much higher cost). Finances were tight so I came to Amazon looking for our regular product so I could use my gift cards. Needless to say it wasn't available here so I spent some time researching and reading reviews.

This was well worth the risk of trying! Yes, I was afraid of wasting money ( okay...gift cards) on something that might not work.

This product was/is amazing! Immediately after the application we could see the fleas dropping off of him.

It's extremely easy to use. To apply just make sure you are putting it high enough up on the back or nape of the neck where they can't lick. Move aside the fur so you can apply right onto the skin, squeeze the tube until it's empty. If you aren't sure it's out of the licking reach just keep an eye on them for a bit to make sure. Mine doesn't even try to lick it off.

Between the treatment, using salt on the carpets, vacuuming daily and immediately emptying the canister in the outside trash we had things make to normal in a few days. We did use the second does the next month and so far no more fleas.

For the time being I think we will stick with Advantage ll. It shipped quickly, arriving before it estimated date, making us all happy!

Worked like a charm. Tried an herbal remedy and another competitor's product but they didn't help. Love that I can get this on Amazon because I have one cat that is very difficult to get to the vet. If you have more than one cat, I suggest treating them all at the same time or the fleas will remain. I only use this in the warm months, and in FL that's 10 months out of the year. If you live in a cold climate, you probably won't need it that often. My cats have tried to lick it before but have never had any ill effects from it. Just place it on the nape of their necks and you should be fine.

As long as I've had pets, we've had some kind of flea problem. Some years we have no problems heading infestations off at the pass, and some years ( like last summer) it doesn't seem to matter what we use -- we can't get ahead of it. We currently have one large outdoor cat, and two good sized kittens ( about 4 pounds each) and I noticed A FLEA on one of the inside cats. Oh, hell no. I'm certain the outdoor cat brought them in, but I was NOT going through what we did last year.

This is not the cheapest product out there, but you and I both know the cheap stuff you can pick up doesn't work. I've had animals have bad reactions to them, as well. This is a package with two tubes, so I figured I'd put one on the giant outside kitty, and split the other between the two kittens. There's about eight drops in a tube, in case that's an idea you want to use.

It had pretty much zero smell, and it dried faster than I imagined it would. I put the drops high up on the neck, pretty much at the base of the skull, so that they couldn't reach it to lick. I noticed some scratching about an hour later, which I attributed to flea die off. NONE of the cats had any visible fleas the next morning. I still treated the house, and the cat tree and bedding, but it has been nearly a month since application and we have had no scratching, flea bites on me or the kids, or visible fleas on the cats.

Worth every penny. I'm going to treat them all again this month the same way to prevent any fleas from getting back into the house!

Cats never get fleas. Use this stuff faithfully once a month from May - September. My cats only need 5 months out of year. Cats hover around 9 lbs and I always get them Flea Control for a Large Cat. Advantage II is best solution on the market for cats imo.
