    I am searching for a cute walking shoe to take to Italy. I'm really don't want to take sneakers, as I will be wearing summer dresses. I bought these in the silver and they are so cute. I wear a wide, and there was plenty of room in the medium width...it rally felt like a wide width, I can see how those with regular would think them too big. They would have needed insoles as there is no arch support. That would not have been a problem as they are so darn cute.

    The reason they get a 2 star is the material. It is rough feeling, and I know within an hour it would rub my skin raw around the edges, especially the back. Never the inside doesn't feel good. I'm surprised a $100 pair of shoes would be made like that. I'm bought on sale for $53 so am double bummed. Oh well, my search continues.

    I am so sad to write this. I have other Merrell shoes in this size, but these shoes are horrible. Every pair of Merrells I have owned has had absolutely NO break-in period, been immediately like a slice of foot heaven on earth, and have felt supportive and comfortable. These shoes are cut too narrow, and I don't have very narrow feet, but they are slightly narrower than an average foot, and by no means wide. These shoes were extremely tight in the width, yet too long in the length. My other Merrells are size 6.5 and are like gloves (in fact one was called the crush glove mary jane). Also, my old merrells were soft around the foot with a sort of suedecloth liner around the heel. This one is made out of a rough hard fabric that is scratchy and stiff. I couldn't keep these shoes on even a few minutes because they were so incredibly uncomfortable. I had thought all Merrells were my neuropathy partners, but now I know this is not the case. I hope this isn't a sign of a change in quality of the products with time, or they will certainly be losing our family's love and support.

    I've had several pairs of Merrell's but these were very small. I'd say a size small. They were shipped in a plain shoe box, not Merrell, no Merrell paperwork inside and no shoe forms. The shoes were just flopping about in the box with one sheet of tissue paper. Very odd. They looked new but I couldn't understand why they weren't in the original box. I did return them and I ordered another pair, different style of Merrell's. They fit perfectly and were shipped in a Merrell box with all the stuff that comes with them. Thank goodness for Amazon's Prime, it makes returning easy.

    I have four pairs of these shoes in different colors. I needed something like this for secure walking-==after I had swollen ankles and could not fit in any of my previous shoes. After using Kiniesiotech tape of my ankles--two hours later the swelling was gone forever. The shoes that worked best for me then were these. They are so easy on your feel and have good support too.     I was excited when I received these shoes. They are light weight sturdy & cute . These shoes seemed to fit okay in terms of neither too big or small. Problem arose big time when I wore them without socks on a warm day. These shoes rubbed my heel raw. Ouch! I am unable to return the shoes. By the way, these shoes do not breathe well either. My feet were hot. I have decided that I will have to wear socks &go back to wearing sandals on warm days.

    I desperately wanted to like these shoes. The foot bed and shoe itself were fine.
    However, the elastic that goes over the top and fastens the shoe was far too long and far too stretchy.
    Pulling the elastic to an appropriate fit (which would have required resizing the elastic myself), the sides of the shoe came over the top of the foot too far and looked bad. So I returned the shoes.
