I ordered 3 of these and wasn't for sure if they were going to fit correctly, but I wear a large in most shirts and this one fit perfectly alone or on top of a tank top as a thin jacket. I basically intend to wear this as a cover-up from the sun and/or when traveling as a layering piece or to wear alone. It covers your bottom side but its not extremely long like some other type of shirts with tails do. The material is a soft cotton that doesn't appear to be wrinkle-proof, but in my opinion its the kind of shirt that you expect to have that linen/canvas look for the outdoors so it looks natural to me. I'm glad I found these on sale here for about $12.00 each as that's a bargain for the Columbia brand. If you order the white color, it appears to have thinner material and a little see-through.

I had earlier bought this exact same shirt in white, and I really liked the fit. But this one in "mint" is somewhat smaller. It's still a good shirt -- cool in summer, and comfortable. I just wish they would pay closer attention to getting the sizes consistent.

I've ordered a few different kinds of Columbia shirts; they all fit differently and use different types of fabric. The Bonehead uses cotton, and from my experience, needs to be ironed after a wash. I wear these shirts when I travel, hike, or just running errands, so the wrinkles don't bother me too much. However, I have some other Columbia shirts that are nylon or a nylon/polyester blend which I prefer. They wick better when you sweat and they don't wrinkle (as much). I've also noticed that my Columbia Bonehead has shrunk (lengthwise). I've had it for a couple of years and now just noticing it...

Sadly, the shirt came in a rumpled ball. Perhaps it had been returned by another customer. The cotton fabric didn't impress me, and it fit tightly where it should have offered some room. I returned it for a refund.

Item is a little big, but my hopes are that with it being cotton it will shrink some. The major bummer is the flap in the back for air is sewn on whereas the Aptco shirts are not. Another bummer is that this shirt being 100% cotton will need to be ironed all the time. Otherwise, it is a great shirt.

Love the Columbia quality. I purchased these so I could embroider on the back. They came out perfect. There are not many shirts out there that are made as well as these are. The shirts fold up into 3 quarter length and have a flap and button to secure it.
