    I generally wear fishing shirts all summer to protect my skin and keep me cool, but sometimes, I want something that isn't quite as "flappy" (fishing shirts have a "cape" back that while cool, can flap around a bit). The color of this shirt is really more of a light olive drab, kind of the color of a green olive. I like it, and it's a lighter color which is good for summer, but I wanted to make sure folks knew it wasn't a bright or sea green.

    There are "vents" under the arms which lets the shirt breath a little (since you don't have the cape style) and isn't noticeable. The material feels kind of different/weird when you put it on, but it is quite comfortable. It is cooler than a lot of other shirts for summer wear (thought not quite as cool as some of my fishing shirts).

    It is good for when you want a cool shirt and have to be outside on a hot summer day, but want something that is not quite as casual as a fishing shirt. The pockets don't have buttons--the flap is held in place by velcro. I, personally, like that since it holds things in the pockets better.

    Overall, the shirt is a great addition to a summer wardrobe.

    This fits a little tight for the size, especially in the upper arm and shoulder, but it otherwise fits well. The breathability is good, but not quite what I'm used to from Cabelas. It could use a bit more in the way of pockets, and while not tight in the belly, it's not generous either. You might want to hold off on the six packs on the fishing trip to make sure this still fits!

    This would be a good $25-30 shirt, but at $45-55, well then there are better options. It does a great job blocking the sun, though that's not remarkable for a shirt.

    Despite my husband's insistence that he wears a large, the extra large fit him perfectly. Out of the box he tried it on and one of the cuff buttons fell off. The material was like nothing we'd ever felt before and he was rather eager to test it out. He works in a restaurant and normally wears a dress shirt and tie, but as the manager he does a lot of running around and he can get a bit hot and sweaty. He put this shirt on with a tie and off he went.

    He came home during lunch, took the shirt off, and threw it on the floor (diva style). He said it didn't keep him cool at all, in fact he smelled of perspiration. I notice the man in this ad does not have his shirt tucked in and the top button isn't done, neither is he wearing a tie. My husband did all of these things so I don't know if that's a factor. Then again, he did have the sleeves rolled up to his elbow as he normally does. I do know that he probably won't be wearing this shirt again until the winter.

    This shirt is very well constructed. The seams are neatly sewn, the stitching is even and the buttons are attached securely. The medium size fits just right and the sleeves are neither to long or too short. The front pockets close with velcro and lay flat on the chest. Under the arms, there is mesh venting to keep the wearer cool that is not visible on the exterior. The tag also indicates the shirt has 50 SPF+ sun protection built in. A very nice shirt overall.

    Wore in both hot, humid conditions but also damp/rainy conditions while clearing brush and cutting up a fallen tree and performed extremely well in both situations--wicked moisture away as advertised and was comfortable during the whole time I was working. I also like the fact that it has built in SPF protection . . . I will say that the dark navy color is indistinguishable from black but will have to see what happens after its been in the wash a couple of cycles.

    This is a pretty nice shirt. It is designed to "breathe" and therefore be more comfortable if you feel the need to wear long sleeves in warm weather. It also looks pretty much like a dress shirt so you'll look pretty good while wearing it. If you buy I hope you are as happy as I was with it and thank you for taking the time to read my review.

    My 6'2" husband is wearing the XL. It seems to fit him well but as with many shirts, the sleeves are just a tad short. The material is nice and comfortable. He is never outside (even in the summer) without long sleeves and a hat to avoid the sun so the fact that this has some built-in SPF is a big plus in his eyes.
