    My family is pretty dedicated to the Stride Rite brand, but they fell flat with this sandal. To be fair, I did read the warnings from other reviewers; that the shoes' straps were too long, before even getting to the adjustable for fit part of the velcro straps. My 6 year old has wide feet and high arches. Normally, longer straps would be a benefit for him. Tightening the straps as far as they would go, still left the shoe loose and sloppy on his foot. For a kid who likes to run, this is just asking for a rolled ankle injury. Dangerous. I am returning them. Stride Rite, fix the non-adjustable strap length to closer to the shoe sole, please!

    Thankfully I read the reviews before purchasing this shoes! They run really wide, which was great for us since my son has wide feet. I purchased the regular width (he normally wears Stride Rite XXW) and they were great. Really good water shoes, although I feel lengthwise they run a little small, and it's easy for his toes to slip forward unless the straps are super tight.

    This is a nice shoe in the pictures, but it is too narrow. This was a gift for my nephew and he was so excited at first to have them and then when he went to try them on he said it was pinching his feet. This shoe is not good if you have a child with a wide foot. The seller did refund my money quickly I just wish instead of the refund we could have just as for a different size.

    I liked the sandal but his little foot swam in a size 2. Couldn't believe that were that big for him. Upon viewing them on I realized that I didn't want him wearing a shoe with such an open toe so selected another style with a closed toe. I returned them and it was quick and easy.

    Even though I do like these shoes, they are a little heavy. I bought these for my little guy who has very 'chubby' feet. The multiple straps are perfect at securing the shoes to his feet. However, he is learning to walk with shoes and I just feel that these shoes are a little heavy. I worry that that might be an issue with the learning process.
