The Marana Vulc is a slimmer version of the instant classic Marana that is built on a vulcanized outsole. The rubber printed toe cap offers durability and the STI evolution foam footbed provides excellent rebound and cushioning without packing out. The mesh tongue and collar lining provide breathability while the reinforced upper provides support.

    I used to skate DC pure SE shoes, but they seemed to fall apart way to fast. Three hours of skating made those shoes look like they'd been stuck in a blender. The Etnies Marana Vulc on the other hand as a little more sturdy of a shoes. They are heavier than most lightweight skate shoes, which in turn provides more padding but reduces board feel a bit. I skated them for three hours today and they have some wear on the lower sole from flip tricks and the side of the upper part of the shoe has a bit of wear from ollieing. The sole is grippy, the shoe is decently light and has sufficient board feel. After two hours of skating, I was able to do most of the tricks I had been able to do with my old shoes.

    These shoes are durable, decently light weight, and provide enough board control to adapt to the change quickly.

    Reason for 4 stars is because these are fit for long and narrow feet. My feet are a true 11.5 (which I got and I was comfortable with) and they still felt narrow. I've been skating these for about a week and THEY HAVE stretched wider for my foot. MAKE SURE you break in the shoe and give it some time! The heel lock in lacks. Etnies is lucky they provided the elastics on the tongue so the shoe stays on my foot. Overall, stick with your true size and give time for breaking in, and these shoes will skate like a B0$$!

    Great shoe, but think it doenst work very well for skteboarding. The rubber is not very resistant. Wouldnt buy again for skate, I used it just for a week and seems like it wont make it to next month.

    These are somewhat small. I normally wear a 10.5 but these seem smaller than a 10.5. The arch support is really pronounced as well. They do come in a variety of sizes and colors which is good. I had a bad experience with another pair of Etnies. I'm hoping these last longer than the last pair of Etnies I owned. I like the low ankle area as I do not like "high tops".

    These are super comfy in every day actives & skating, but even better once broken in. I had already ordered a pair of these same shoes, but size 13's which fit awesome in width but just a bit of space from toe to end of shoe. I thought i would buy another pair and try a size smaller, size 12's. The size 12's were just the right size in length but was a little to narrow for my toes. I ended up gifting the size 12's to one of my nephews who wears a size 12. He said that they fit good in length but a little narrow in toes. After wearing for couple days he has broken them in & they feel much more comfortable in the width.

    Ill order another pair for sure but size 13's for me. I & nephew both skate and we have no problems with these shoes. Toe cap is good, board feel is good & insole is comfortable.

    Great shoes. We buy Etnies because they last well, even when skating a lot and they provide more arch support than other skate shoes my son has worn. We have tried a lot of brands, but it would have to be, a fairly spectacular shoe, to make me change from buying Etnies now.

    Really great skateboard shoes. It took about three days to break them in. These are VULCANIZED so flip tricks, flatground, and smaller than 10 step obstacles. If not, you may get heel burn. This isn't CUPSOLED so going hard like Shecks off of big obstacles is a no no.
    It's a great shoe to learn fundamentals in, if you pop in an insole from a skateshop, then maybe tricks with hard landings will be OK.
    I'd get another pair I like them so much.
