I actually bought this for the building I work in. At 18 inches it's a pretty big half dome but the viewing angles are great. We have security cameras in all our offices but the building owner wouldn't allow security cameras in the hallways. My office is closest to the hallway entry but often people come in and are lost wondering which way to go. Now I can see them there and help take care of them. The building owner also didn't want any holes drilled in the block walls so I really wanted a lightweight model and this one fit the bill perfectly. I attached it to the wall with 4 large "Command Strips" with velcro for large photograph frames and it has held perfectly.
It came with a protective film on it which was great while installing in and when removed it is an excellent mirror finish. Looking at it you would not know it is plastic instead of glass, but the cost and weight savings of plastic make it a must have in my book!

I picked this half dome mirror to put into a retail environment to see down an aisle that due to story layout was hard to monitor. It is light weight and looks okay on the wall, but it is not good for detail viewing. It definitely would work better in a lumber yard or manufacturing environment where large items are being monitored.

For the money and the ease of installation I am using it ... but can not depend on it for retail theft.

We put in a new energy efficient door, but the new door had small windows at the top and my (short) wife couldn't see anyone coming to the door. I hung this outside and its perfect, she can now see the whole porch not just the area in front of the door.
The price was the best I found for this type of item and it arrived quickly.
Mounting was by two triangle shaped rings on the back, the rim does not have holes for mounting and I'm leery of drilling acrylic.

THANK THE UNIVERSE FOR THIS MIRROR!

I was looking into all sorts of solutions to help me know how far to pull up into my garage, it's a pretty tight fit. This is the best solution that I could have hoped for. With this mirror there isn't any explaining or instructions or complicated lights. ANYONE can figure out how to use this, and how to not hit my wall anymore! Installation was easy too.

We tried lots of stuff before this, none really worked for me: We tried buying one of those sensors that lights up when you're too close to the wall, a laser pointer device that turns on and tells you when to stop pulling forward, a tennis ball tied to the ceiling, etc... Nothing works like actually seeing the front of your car crawl closer to the wall.

Just what I needed! Mirror is very nice. Installed it above my office cube in minutes, I can see who comes in and out of suite without standing up. Because the dome is installed so close to me, I can see folks without them seeing me (Just say still -- don't move). They are far, so images appear small to them and they don't know where to focus on the dome, whereas - you know where to focus. Good fun stuff and works!
