They feature flexible scheduling and user-friendly programming, along with multiple-events scheduling, an astronomic function, and to-the-minute accuracy.
The DT122K heavy-duty indoor digital plug-in timer can be programmed with up to 7 on/off program settings for either daily or weekly events. There is also the option for a random setting, which turns on/off at times up to 15 minutes before or after the programmed time, allowing for a more 'lived in' look. The astronomic feature automatically adjusts to sunrise/sunset. It also has an automatic Daylight Saving Time adjustment so you won't have to re-program your timer twice a year!

This is a timer with an 'unusual' feature - an astronomic capability to 'track', or offset for sunrise and sunset. If you need an INDOOR timer that turns on at dusk or off at dawn, this is the one. This timer does NOT contain a photo electric sensor: indoor, a photoelectric sensor can be undependable, fooled by lamps or draperies. This timer allows the user to choose a U.S. region: north, central or south (in effect setting latitude) and input your local sunrise/sunset for that day, available from a cell phone (in effect setting, or refining longitude from 'time'). Prior to 'event' programming you set year, month, day, local sunrise and sunset (for that day). 'On' and 'off' events may then be set using either time, or a celestial event either in the 'on' or 'off' or both positions: e.g., on at sundown, off at 11:00 p.m.
The timer also allows seven on/off per event-pairs which may be set to: all 7 days of the week, all 5 work days, week ends, or any individual day. Its 15 Amp capacity is also unusual allowing it to control larger loads such as a ½ Hp electric motor. It contains an internal battery to preserve programming in the event of an a/c power outage, or movement from one to another indoor receptacle.
This kind of versatility comes at the 'price' of some 'programming' complexity. I am no 'rocket scientist' myself, but programmed mine on the first try: "on" at sundown, "off" at 11:00 p.m. - though I admit it demanded attention!
