Ok so this will be a long review because I have a lot to say and some important information that will save future buyers a lot of time.

Ok so as far as how the item came, it was fine. It came on time and in one piece. So here is where it get's interesting.

When I first ordered this I read the reviews and saw that most people had the same issues, this being a 2015 software and we are still in 2014, and it saying that the code was not valid. So I expected to have that issue. And I did have it. So I called the 800 number after trying to un-install and re-install myself. The first person I spoke with was no help and did things that were not helping.

So when I called back a second time I got someone who knew their job. They helped me right away and it was very simple to follow their instructions. Basically if you are having an issue installing it and it tells you that the license is not valid you need to go to settings and change how your computer is allowing access to the software.

Now I can't recall exactly what you are suppose to do since that option to change the settings is only available when you are installing it initially, but if you need to call just mention to them that you think you may need to change the settings on how it's being installed and someone should be able to help you.

So be assured that it is NOT the code the code is fine and valid. But sometimes your computer is blocking certain access to things. So as far as my over all thoughts, the software does what it is suppose to do after you get it installed. I HIGHLY HIGHLY SUGGEST and so do they, that after you install it, you do a complete scan of the computer. It won't take 9 hours like it says when it starts.

Thank you for this review. Sorry to hear you had to call in for help in getting it activated, but it is good to hear that everything got resolved and that the product is working well for you. We hope this is still the case and we thank you for being a great customer.

Over the years, I used several various brands of security software, but I’ve been using Kaspersky Internet Security for the last few years now. I remain quite satisfied, and I’ve installed this product on several friend’s computers. Everyone seems to like it. I’ve heard no complaints.

I only recently upgraded from KIS 2014 to KIS 2015. (I suggest that the old version be completely removed/uninstalled and the new version then installed.) I opted to retain all my settings from KIS 2014 when I did the upgrade; however, I quickly noticed that while my basic settings were retained, some features previously turned off were now active. This is not a big deal, and it might even be to my benefit. I had originally turned off some features because I felt they were overkill and would just get in the way. After the upgrade, I decided to live with the extended security features, just to see if my feelings of their getting in the way were justified. To my surprise, they seemed to be not so troublesome, even a bit comforting. Yes, I left them turned on and have not at all been troubled.

When my subscription for KIS 2015 nears its expiration date, I will gladly purchase yet another copy from Amazon, enter the software key in the KIS 2015 licensing window, and let the license automatically renew when the old one expires. I like it! Five stars.

I bought and installed Kaspersky 2015 Anti-Virus. My computer then kept locking up intermittently. But there was no obvious indication initially connecting this to Kaspersky. Some days not at all, some days the computer froze every hour. The CPU chip would go to 100% and stay at that level. The only choice was to reboot and sometimes that fixed the problem. I paid a computer shop to clean and scrub the computer. Turns out that Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 was causing the problem. I wrote Kaspersky Customer service and they wrote back saying this was a known bug and a fix was coming out mid-May. They wrote that to me on May 15th. Yet they advised me to uninstall the product and install their 2014 version. They sent me a link to do this old program install. That did fix the problem, but I spent weeks of aggrevation and money unnecessarily since they never notified me as a registered owner of a KNOWN problem with their software when they were aware of it. They should have notified customers when they became aware of this problem. Now they tell me the fix is not until mid-June. My computer is an HP Laptop running Windows 7 with an Intel medium speed chip. So a standard type system. I will not renew my subscription next year.

I've been using Kaspersky Internet Security software since 2011, and usually I love it. However, I find the 2015 version aggravating for several reasons. First, the Kaspersky box which pops up when you click on the icon looks much different from previous versions. The font is small and light colored so it's a bit hard to see for those with poor vision. The Quick Installation Guide is practically useless. It shows the old Kaspersky box. The instructions don't completely work when installing from a disc. Normally, after installation is complete a new box pops up in which you type the activation code. This is written in the Quick Installation Guide, which only works for previous versions. Using the 2015 software, this box doesn't appear. I had to go to the Kaspersky web site and search for "enter activation." From there I was able to enter the code.

Next, and most annoying, the 2015 version does not work well with Mozilla Firefox. I have web sites listed in Safe Money. So far I've had trouble accessing a few of them. For example, the first time I tried to go to Amazon.com, Kaspersky wouldn't allow it. The information said "This connection is untrusted. This site's identity can't be verified." There were 3 options: "Get me out of here," "Technical Details," and "I understand the risks." I tried adding Amazon.com to "trusted sites" in the Kaspersky Protection Settings. Still, I couldn't access the web site. I decided to click on "I understand the risks," and then Amazon was permanently moved to Trusted Sites.

I have the same problem when trying to go to PayPal. For some reason, the "I understand the risks" option doesn't appear. I have to bring up the Kaspersky box, click on Safe Money, then click on the PayPal web address for the site to connect and be in "safe" mode.

Thank you for the honest review Erica. I know you said you tried everything, but just wanted to make sure that you tried to add PayPal in the Safe Money settings? http://support.kaspersky.com/us/11161#block3
