Chances are, you've seen something like this before. You may have gotten a credit card in the mail that was stuck to the back of a piece of paper, or you might have purchased some other product that was held firmly in place, but there was nothing holding it but a sticky and easy to remove glue. That's what you get with this product, and its dispenser makes it easy to apply.

When you roll the dispenser, you get 3/8 inch round dots that will stick to whatever you roll over. Once they are applied, you can press your item against something else and it will stay in place. There is no drying or curing time needed. As soon as you get this product, you will quickly get a feel for all the things it can be used for. Giving a specific list of the types of things I've used it for might not help much, except to point out the versatility. My first use was to stick a keypad membrane inside a frame and I can't think of any other product that would have worked as well. Double stick tape might have been too thin, foam tape might have been too thick, and any solution would have required cutting out small sections to affix to one side and the entire process would have been awkward.

Once you have this, chances are you will find uses for it and wonder what you would have done without it.

I've used other Glue Dots products for years in papercrafts (specifically making hand-crafted greeting cards). I like them due to the ease of use and choice of sizes. This was my first experience with the Glue Dots Repositionable dots.

They worked well to affix embellishments to my cards. Things like layered paper flowers, 3-D focals, even ribbons and buttons. I was able to reposition them as long as worked carefully; they had a tendency to stick a bit TOO strongly to card stock, but if I worked slowly I could avoid tearing or "peeling" the paper.

Moving beyond crafts, I used these to affix pictures and menus to my wood-front fridge, and they worked GREAT for that. No problems sticking to the wood, and repositioning was a piece of cake.

I actually like the smaller size of these -- 3/8" is just right for crafts, and big enough to handle putting posters on walls, menus on fridges, etc.

I'll likely purchase more of these when this batch runs out.

Received this courtesy of the Amazon Vine program. I wanted to like this because the dispenser holds the roll of glue dots conveniently, unlike when you buy a box of them and they get stuck on the interior of the box. This dispenser is easy to hold and the roller action is smooth. However, and it's s BIG HOWEVER, the dots are positioned closely together and do not easily move without balling up like a clump of rubber. Furthermore the box states they hold up to 2 pounds ---- not when I used them! I ran a long strip across the bottom of a cotton curtain panel to try to shorten the curtain length and not only did the dots roll right off the material but there was no holding power whatsoever on the hem. I would use this for scrapbooking but because the dots are too close and you really cannot easily control shorter rolls of the dispenser, I will have to toss this as it really won't offer much convenience.

update: 3/22 - These are not holding up on latex paint. I have used the Glue Dots to hang some Hallmark cards on a wall and they contiually fall off. I've even used several dots to rehang and they inevitably fall off. The wood door is not a problem, but the latex paint is. Original review: Excellent. Use as many (or as little) required to hang posters, pictures, etc. I have small cork board squares that always fall off wooden doors they are attached to. So far, they have held them up nicely.

These things are the same silicone-y stuff you find on mailers and magazines. It's the stretchy, gooey stuff. It works, but it's not a real glue, per se. More like a sticky, removal temporary adhesive.

Style Name: Advanced Strength
The right stick for the right job. I was looking for something to stick Styrofoam to an uneven surface of a bin that was used to make cat abodes for the little ones outside. With the onslaught of winter many of these little furry critters have no idea of what real cold is.

I found the project on the Internet on how to build cat abodes. This required Styrofoam to insulate the sides top and bottom and to cut the appropriate space high enough that water cannot get in so did not have to drill drain holes at the bottom which also would let water in.

I know each Dot hold up to 8 pounds, however my problem was getting the glue in precisely the right place without any waste. I first looked at all kinds of caulking material which would have created beads of glue most of which would not be high enough on the surface to capture the foam. So using an excess amount of these dots that come 252 a role, without having to touch the glue I was able to put it in precisely the right place told the Styrofoam; this includes on the lid which only had six protruding glue points. The big advantage with the dispenser is that I did not have to touch any of the glue.

Now every time I see this Glue Dot dispenser I will think about those cold but alive critters.
