    The only bad thing about HiTec boots in general is the time it takes to break them in. That is a factor in the quality of the leather used to produce them. It is a side effect of top grain boot leathers. Top quality cowboy boots are the same in the time it takes to break in. The boots are far better than the boots they are replacing. These boots have already been soaked once and showed no signs of water leakage. I have bought HiTec's before and will continue to buy them when I can afford them.

    Sweet boots from classic boot maker. Hi tecs were the business back in junior high. I didnt have a pair but now I got my own money. Time to treat mysefl. Took these out logging and they were perfect. thx hitec!!!

    I wear size 10 in everything, so ordered size 10 for these. I probably could have gone with a 9.5 in these though as the size 10 boots were slightly large. However, Amazon has different prices for different sizes. A half size down meant the boots cost twice as much, so sticking with these and wearing thicker socks. I wore them out snow sledding and they were great!

    Still need to break them in but so far so good. I was skeptical about buying waterproof hiking boots for $30, but after taking them through mud and snow my feet remained dry and they're pretty comfortable. I am a novice hiker but would definitely recommend these.
