One of our cats goes bananas over these pom poms- he does this weird thing where he growls and then picks up the pom and trots away with it before playing with it intensely for long periods of time. Then he leaves the poms on the bed or in the food bowl for us to find. There were a few in a multi-toy cat stocking thing we got at a Big Box Pet Store for the holidays, and that's the only thing Milo was interested in, and so I decided to see if I could get a pack of just the poms for him.

These poms are great- unlike the ones from the pet store, they are actually fuzzy pom-poms (like the craft ones) with a few pieces of the tinsel threaded thoroughly through the pom instead of just loosely glued/attached on the surface. I found these hold up REALLY well- the cheapy ones disintegrate within a few hours of play, leaving tinsel strands all over the house, but these have held up for weeks with minimal shedding.

And the bag is huge! There was a good distribution of colors, as well.

I wish I had known about these earlier, but glad I found them. Even our older cats will play with them if they come across one during their daily "walk every square inch of the house" routines.

These little pom pom balls are my cat's favorite toy. He only plays with these, and it was nice to be able to order a package that solely contained the larger size. My cat chews on them, so we got through them fairly quickly, but they are nice and while they do shed a little bit of sparkly pieces, it isn't nearly as much as you would think.

Great cat toy, the kitties love these. The 1.5" size is good, 2" ones would work well too, and the 1" pom poms may be a touch too small for our 10+lb. cats. I'd be a little concerned about them choking on them. There is something about these sparkle balls that our cats love and prefer over other comparable balls. Now we don't have to get up and dig these out from under our oven or utility closet door every two minutes. We just keep a bunch on hand during playtime.

If you are looking for those little pompom balls - that are about 1.15-1.5", and your cat pulls out the little hairs - and you end up with a little 1" round, chenille type of ball - that your cat just absolutely loves and will only play with - like ours -- Then these are NOT what you are looking for. I bought 5 different types and from different companies and NONE of them are the little balls we are looking for. Our cat won't play with any of the 5 different brands. However, if your cat isn't picky, or you are looking for Arts & Crafts purposes - these work just fine.
