I bought this based on the extremely high ratings with a lot of folks rating it. This is a nice, sexy, sleek flashlight, no question - but for the price, it's not half of what they hyped it to be. I looked very carefully at several "WORK LIGHTS" and even though my intuition told me that this would not be a good work light, I bought it based on the reviews. Especially the comments that went "Best flashlight I've ever owned". So.. my bad.

PRO: Lightweight, decent lighting both from the end and the "side"; nice emergency flashing feature; included 3 high end triple A batteries that fit in a cartridge. Overall, a nice household flashlight.

Now let's talk about it's intended use as a work light and a light you would keep in your vehicle for WORKING or for emergencies.

CON: It's round, it rolls around - you can't keep the work light portion (on the body) focused on the area you're working on unless you're lucky. It would have been better if it had an octagon shape, at least at the handle end. The magnet: ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Even a user review showed that with one little tap it falls; they have a picture of the magnet holding paper clips - my refrigerator magnet can do that. Most importantly though, is the overall design as a work light with the notion that you can use the magnet to use either the beam or the work light by magnetically placing it on your vehicle. The design is too long with a heavy end where the beam comes out - it will not stay after the slightest brush, or without perfect placement. It fell no less than 10 times until I could find just the right place to put the magnet.

Now that might sound like a scathing review - it's not. It's a nice flashlight.Read more ›

This is by far one of the Best Flashlights I have ever owned!
I absolutely love the sleek design, the easy to grip handle (wrist strap included) and the extremely bright light that this flashlight puts out.
INGEAR and Mayflower Optoelectronics thought of everything when they designed this beauty!
From the super bright direct light at the front of this flashlight, to the side LED's that put out enough light to light my entire bathroom, to the Red Flashing LED's that could easily be seen from a distance if you were stuck on the road at night, this Flashlight is everything they described it to be and more.
I also love that they put a super strong magnet on the handle. Who thinks of that?
It is made with such great quality materials that I expect it to last a very long time.

I've had to do a lot of home improvement work in the dark lately, so I've been in the market for various lighting solutions. I stumbled across an opportunity to receive this product in exchanged for a candid review, so I went for it. And I wasn't disappointed.

My favorite thing about this light is the fact that it serves as either a focused light or an area light. And it does both of those functions well. The focused beam gives me about a hundred feet of visibility on my property, and the area light can light up my entire 10'x16' shed (though I need to work within about 5 feet of it to get maximum gains in visibility). It also comes with a pulsing red light mode, which I could see being as a hazard light, but I haven't needed that particular functionality.

I must say, though, I've blinded myself several times with this light. There's only one button that you press to cycle through each of the lighting modes (beam, area, hazard, and off, in that order). That means you have to cycle through the area light mode in order to turn off the light. The problem is that if you hold the flashlight like I do, with my thumb on the button and my thumbnail facing the ceiling, the area light blasts right into your eyes when you cycle through to turn the light off. I can avoid this by either looking away or rotating the light when I turn it off, but I wish the button were on the opposite side of the light from the bulbs.

I was pleasantly surprised by the magnet function of this light. It's a small magnetic surface on the butt end of the light, and at first I didn't know what I'd use it for. But I soon found out it's handy for keeping screws from running away, or even dangling from my belt buckle when I need both hands free.

I'd have to say that this is the best flashlight that I have ever owned. It has a multitude of great features including:
-Multiple lights along the handle for a wider area of optimal visibility.
-A very strong magnet on the end which makes the previous feature even more valuable as one can have it shining over a work area HANDS FREE!
-Of course, the classic flashlight on the head, very bright.
-And don't even get me started on the flashing red light feature along the side, very cool.
