Wow! What a bulb! I have bought both types of these bulbs in a long time experiment to find a suitable replacement for my beloved vintage Edison style bulbs. We had a house full of the vintage Edison bulbs as we prefer a subdued, warm, "Murdoch-ian" style lighting in the evening. I have purchased, sigh!, so many different, supposed Edison style vintage LED bulbs. Some were a greenish hue, others were only slightly warm. Some couldn't dim. Others dimmed but were that horrid whitish glow, even though they advertised otherwise. I have spent too much $$$ to find a replacement, as we can just not abide by those horrid blue white LEDs which we feel sucking our souls directly from our bodies each time they are lit. Save the planet, ruin your life! (That's tongue and cheek, by the way, so....) FINALLY! Ta da! These bulbs are very warm, very golden amber glowing. I only wished they dimmed. :( So, I write this long note to save you the time and effort, the waste, the.... If you too seek the warmth, the glow, the golden hues raining out over your humble abode, seek no further. Oh, I was also looking for a bulb manufactured by a company which also had some reputation, for even if I seemed to find a good bulb, it was made by a nameless person somewhere in China, with no reputation, no anything to back up the bulb should it fail. Again, looking to add to our home without throwing money out the window... Good luck!

I am super impressed. We had an industrial space and I installed incandescent filament bulbs everywhere, and it looked great. We just bought a house and in some areas I want the industrial old timey look, but the conservationist in me didn't want incandescent. As a former architect, I am picky about my lighting quality. I have purchased more than 20 types of LED bulbs. Many times, the LED color renders poorly, and many times there is a perceivable strobe to the light. That is not the case with these. The color is true to incandescent, leaning toward the warmer end of incandescent bulbs. There is no perceivable strobe. They worked on a dimmer switch for me and actually look even more like a filament bulb when dim. I haven't ran it for an extended period dim though, so I can't completely vouch for it. Next up, I'm dipping them in mirror paint to make half mirror bulbs out of the.

I recently purchased two of these for ambiance lighting with the 2200K color temp. The light is amazingly warm giving a vintage glow to a room. The bulb has six light elements symmetrically arranged around the center creating an antique squirrel cage appearance when lit. The bulb envelope is perfectly clear without ripples or scratches. The construction appears to be solid and the workmanship perfect. I have been purchasing filament LED bulbs since they began to appear on the US market and this is the most perfectly made product I have seen so far. The packaging and shipping were very good. The only remaining question is longevity. Will it meet the expected bulb life. If so, they are well worth the investment.

So first night tried the light without reading the directions hahahha and it didnt work lol. Yeah time to read next day my husband read the instructions flicked the light 3 times and it flashed twice so i knew it was in midnight mode and we were set. I read to all the kids in the room and it slowly dimmed and i would say it was making everyone tired in the room including my husband and myself! we were exhausted by the end of the reading time or when i couldn't see the words on the book anymore and the kids literally fell into bed this light is MAGIC. I cant not say good enough about this light I highly endorse it and i have 6 kids so this is a definite keeper and should be a staple in any family home the moon light is a perfect night light also, thank you is really want i want to say whomever developed this light-bulb, you rock!

I bought this to help my 4 year old son fall asleep at night. He would stay up for hours reading. Since starting to use this bulb he falls asleep quickly. The nightlight brightness is good. We use it in a lamp with a pull cord and it works great.

These bulbs are beautiful! Not just the ultra-warm light they give off, but also, the lit-up bulbs themselves look gorgeous - even nicer than an incandescent (because of the multiple filaments).

I love these bulbs (but read my whole review for important points)! They give off an *extremely* warm color of light - definitely in the unusual / vintage-look category. You probably wouldn't want them for most rooms in your house. But if you're trying to create a warm/romantic/cozy/old-timey/B&B/etc atmosphere, they are amazing. Keep in mind, they're also not that bright, about the equiv. of a 45W incandescent bulb (according to the packaging, and I would agree).

Perhaps the most amazing thing about these bulbs is how cool they run; you can wrap your hand around it after it's been on for an hour, and it merely feels a little warm. The efficiency of the bulbs is just amazing.

Note that the 8 "filaments", when lit, each form a continuous stream of light; the appearance is not that of a bunch of tiny LEDs in series, as I had thought it would be.
