Enables certain stretches, discovering more uses over time

I first became aware of yoga blocks from following a popular yoga instructor on ytube. The guy uses these blocks and it allows him to do certain movements and stretching positions.

For me this yoga block is a great size and it easily holds my weight.

I can use the block to complete a forward bend, whereas without it I cannot touch the deck. The block helps me to achieve better form and alignment. It provides a prop to complete something that otherwise cannot be done for lack of flexibility.

For strength training, the block can be used to squeeze between the knees. This also helps keep the lowest part of the back in better alignment.

The block is good for sitting on - plenty strong. This is how my online yoga guy uses it most. One can fully extend legs while sitting on it, or even do upper body stretches in this sitting position.

"Great For Stretching And Proper Poses"......

I received these Hemingweigh Yoga Blocks in light blue...They are non-slip, durable, high density foam and lightweight enough that you don't mind carrying your own to classes...They measure 9" x 6" x 4"..Made to use all three sides easily..

In Yoga they help to achieve proper form, develop muscle definition and a better connection when you in specific poses or stretches...For example if you can't touch your hands to the floor if you were doing a forward bend you can use a block in order to make that connection so that your hands are resting on something...Because it has three different sides as you get more flexible you can turn it to make it a little lower until you can take away the block completely. ...

Great for people that are new to Yoga that have limited mobility and are not that flexible....Decreases body tension.. You will occasionally see them in other settings, sometimes Pilates, general day to day stretching to maintain stability and other workouts like general strength training.....

I have used HemingWeigh products before and have been very satisfied....

Nice, well priced yoga block...

This is a very nice yoga block that I received from hemingweigh for review.

The block is very light (1.5lbs.), and provides excellent stability in many poses. It is made very strong, and is non slip, so I can easily sit on it without any fear.

When I wake up in the morning, I always need to do some stretching because I feel very tight. These blocks are perfect to help with deep stretching, which I like to do everyday. The block is 9" x 6" x 4".

My yoga instructor told me that using a block would help me have better alignment and increased strength, as well as those deeper poises. His word is good enough for me. Very nice block at a good price.

Good blocks, exactly as described

Yoga blocks are "props" used mostly to help work into difficult or strenuous positions. For example, if you're having trouble reaching the floor in a position, you could use a block to help bring the floor to you.

This foam block is exactly as described and pictured - light but strong, 9" x 6" x 4", with just a little bit of give that leaves them supportive but still more comfortable than wood blocks. If I step on them with all my 180 lb weight, there's a little give if I arrange it so that the 4" side is supporting my weight, a little more if one of the longer sides is supporting me, so I think you could use these as a 4" step if you wanted to, or as a higher step if you are lighter than me and have great balance. And these are great for their primary use - as a hand support, seat, or environmental object. (Disclosure: I was provided a review copy in return for an honest opinion.)

A lightweight and durable yoga block that works great

My wife does a lot of yoga, and this block is useful for modifying and extending yoga poses.

It's lightweight but does support her weight. It feels very durable.

She doesn't really love having logos on her equipment, so she finds that distracting, but otherwise this is a very well built and nice-looking piece of yoga equipment.
