This hand soap comes in a large 12 ounce bottle so it's almost 1 1/2 times the size of my regular Bath & Body Works that I use all the time. When you purchase them through Amazon on this listing then you will receive a box that includes 8 of these bottles. You will receive a total of 96 ounces of soap in all. They come in a nice looking bottle with a decorative label on the front and a hand pump on top.

As I said before I usually use Bath & Body Works soap. I like their lovely scents and you can't find quite the same thing as your grocery store. However I usually have to get the foaming soap because their regular soap is so thick that it makes a mess on the sink and on the soap bottle and it's a paint to always wash off.

This soap has an amazing scent of of mandarin oranges and grapefruit. The scent is really sweet and it smells incredible. I'm almost tempted to taste it because it smells so great. It's a thinner soap so it washes off you hands much quicker and doesn't make a mess. The only difference that I don't really like is how much soap comes out in a single pump. I am used to pushing down one full pump with other soaps. This soap bottle gives you too much soap in a single pump and I think it's enough soap to wash your hands twice. So I have to start making myself only push the pump down a little over half way so it's not so wasteful. That's something that I can get used to and not a deal breaker for me.

This soap is made in the USA and is more natural than most soaps. It's a plant based soap that is free of any dye, fragrance and it's scent and color actually comes from real fruit. It's hypoallergenic and very gentle so it shouldn't irritate sensitive skin in any way.

I still love Bath & Body Works soaps but this soap is equally good in a different way. Given the fact that this soap smells just as nice and is less messy and made of natural ingredients I would lean toward purchasing this soap is the price was pretty comparable.

In order to review this hand soap, I placed a bottle next to every sink in the house. I have long believed that one doesn’t need an alcohol based hand sanitizer if one simply washes one’s hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water. This mild and fragrant hand soap is just the thing. It doesn’t overpower you with a feminine scent, but provides a barely discernible lingering fragrance of citrus fruit which is fine for men and for women. It leaves the skin soft but not feeling coated as some hand wash products do. And, I am aware of Seventh Generation’s reputation for revering our earth, and so I could use this product with confidence that I am not harming the environment with it.

This is a perfectly satisfactory hand-washing product and I will keep it on my counters from now on. You simply wet your hands, add a squirt or two from the handy dispenser, and wash away. To really do the job right, sing a verse of “Happy Birthday to You” in your head as you scrub away. Pay attention to your nails and wrists. Rinse, dry and off you go with only the faintest fragrance of oranges and grapefruit on your hands.

Disclaimer: I love citrus-scented things. So I am probably predisposed to liking this product. But I think it's a pretty good soap, too.

This Seventh Generation soap claims to be "natural," hypoallergenic, and 97% plant based. OK. I have no way of independently verifying this except for not having had any allergic reactions to it. It also purports to have no synthetic dyes, fragrances, or phthalates. Phthalates are chemicals designed to alter the viscosity of liquids. Phthalates are being studied with respect to disruption of the endocrine system, asthma, breast cancer, and reduction of anogenital distance in the fetuses of exposed pregnant women. These all sound pretty bad. The science is not definite yet, and I would never be one to tell people to freak out and ditch every product in their homes.

But hey, this soap smells good and works just fine in terms of cleaning. So why not? The fragrance is definitely more on the grapefruit side of things (does a mandarin orange even smell like anything?), but is altogether pleasant. The soap does not create a film on the hands that is hard to get off, but it seems to have a good surfactant action and emulsifying action with respect to dirt and grime.

So all in all, it's a slam dunk soap to buy, especially if you like citrus fragrances.

The smell of this soap reminds me of mechanics soap. But it is different. Instead of just orange you can also detect the fragrance of grapefruits. Both scents are pleasant and mild. The soap itself is translucent in the bottle and has the orange/red coloring of the mandarin and grapefruit. When the soap is applied it is clear.

The cleaning power of this soap reminds me of mechanics soap as well. It cuts right through oily automotive grease without much scrubbing. Normal dirt or food grease are no problem. I like that the scent is not too strong and does not linger. Your hands will not smell like oranges and grapefruits after rinsing.

On dry hands the soap lathers well. When the soap gets wet it gets sudsy. It leaves my hands a little softer after washing. The only negative is the soap is more drying than regular bar soap, after a period of time.

The bottle doesn't appear that large. it is less than 3" in diameter. I have a small sink and even a 3" bottle won't fit where a cake of soap used to rest. I will be finding a special place for this soap so that it is always handy.
