I love CW-X tights! I have multiple pairs and wear them for all my long runs, half and full marathons. These ones are great! I have a bad left hip (torn labrum) and IT band issues and these help immensely.They are compression so they fit tightly, but they're supposed to! I am usually a size 8-10 and went with the medium. They only issue I have is that my calves are on the larger side, about 15 inches around, and the bottoms are a little tight there. Nothing too bad, but can be a little irritating on longer runs.

I will NEVER buy these tights again. I ran 8 miles in them to test them out and they were great (no soreness)...until I ran a half marathon the following weekend. My compression running tights ripped at Mile 8 during the race and the result was a painful chafe wound. It was only my 2ND TIME WEARING THEM! I had to run the last 5 miles with my thigh rubbing against my other leg that was covered in tights. These tights cost too much money to rip after the 2nd wear. I am going to try to get a refund. I am going back to Nike.

I didn't buy these on amazon, but since I relied on the reviews here before buying, I wanted to add my thoughts. I am a big fan of cw-x, and I have the stabilyx and pro shorts, tights and 3/4 tights. These are the least supportive, which probably accounts for the lower price. I've had knee and quad issues for years, and these do the trick. Lately, I find my IT band is tight and can get sore, so I thought I would try these. While the description says they are for the IT band and quads, I think the pro tights give more support to the quads. The band down the outside of the leg for IT band support is great, however, and it that is your main problem, I highly recommend them. If you haven't tried cw-x before, note that they will stretch after 1-2 wearings. I find the best size for me is the smallest size I can get on my body when I first try them on. For me (5'2", 125 lbs), that is an x-small in these tights (a small in some other styles).

The compression in these pants are great. While not as tight as the same size in the insulator these are still great pants and help with performance and recovery!
