This collar has improved my terrier's behavior dramatically. She is a sweet dog, but impossible when I have guests. In the pre-collar days, she jumped all over everyone at the door and when they sat on the couch. I tried expensive dog trainers, talked to an animal behaviorist and did research on how to change this behavior, all with no success. After receiving the collar, I called customer service to ask what level they recommended setting it on for a 16 lb. dog. I set it on 10 as suggested, and only shocked her twice while saying no. Now, I just put the collar on her when I know I'll be having guests and she knows not to jump or whine at the door. Guests can now enjoy her company and I don't spend the whole time reprimanding her instead of enjoying my company. It also works for barking.

Works great.only had to use shock a couple of times on lowest setting.when using the audible my dog will listen to me and I don't have to worry about her running away like in the past.tried the shock on lowest setting on myself and it will startle you but will not hurt or traumatize the dog like some people think.would rather correct dogs bad behavior then have untrained dog.I still work daily on basic commands with the trading collar and have seen much improvements in short time

I have a 1 year old Great Dane Bull, around 100 pounds. He's still young so a little over anxious when he plays with other dogs. The vibration and shock range from 1 to 100 and increases by 1, though the vibration seems to really have about 5 levels. As part pit, my dog likes to play rough and tends to grab other dogs. I use this to keep him from playing too rough. I thought I wouldn't use the shock, but he ignores the vibration even at level 100. I set the shock for 10 for when's he's not too worked up and 20 when he's in full play mode - that does the trick.

I gave this 4-stars because it's pretty basic doesn't work when the batteries are low, there should be a low-battery warning. Stock up on AAA batteries.

Eats through batteries too fast. They only last a few hours. Every time I replace the batteries, I test them and put them back on the dogs. By then next time one of them needs a shock, they have already died again.
