I ordered this because of the good reviews, but was a little disappointed with the product. I had it set to vibrate and adjusted the sensitivity pretty low. Our dog has two tags on his collar that 'jingle' when he moves around, which seemed to set off the collar randomly. Also noticed when he went to scratch himself, the collar would vibrate as well. Completely freaked him out. With the collar vibrating at random times, it is very difficult to 'train' him. This could very well be a challenge with other barking collars, but I'm not sure I would try another after this experience. Looking into other options, such as a whistle.

Works ok. Not the best one we have ever used. The controls are difficult to use very small dials that have to be set by trial and error. The dog does respond once you have both dials set properly but it can be a rough learning experience for you and the pet.

Do not buy this product.. It burnt the neck of my dog and we are still treating her neck so it does not become infected. barking stopped somewhat but it was not worth the injury to my dog.

I've purchased two of these for my two dogs - a Havanese and a Basset Hound. I like that there is an option for using vibration only as that's the most that's needed with my Havanese. The second one that I ordered doesn't hold a charge for more than 5 or 6 hours, while the first one will hold a charge for up to a week. Not sure why, but I guess a lack of QC with this product. If the second product was as reliable as the first, I'd have given it more stars.

We put this on a Chihuahua. It is huge on a Chihuahua, but all these kinds of collars are generally this size, and we use the smaller of the two sets of metal shock 'probes'. The holes in the collar could go even smaller if needed. The sensitivity and the shock are adjustable. We started low and, once we found the settings that worked, the dog's bark problem improved significantly, and now he does not wear it very often. The device is rechargeable.

When fully charged, the collars will work in test mode but will not work correctly at any other setting. We adjusted both sensitivity and function settings and got no response from the collars beyond the warning vibrations.

With the packaging gone, they are nothing but strap-on annoyances, easily ignored by the dogs.

I absolutely hate this thing. First off it worked for like a month or so and then crapped out. I tried literally everything to get it to work again and it's just dead. I had to purchase a new one and had to go with something completely different.

1st off I really didn't want to use a shock collar for barking (I thought/think it might be a bit cruel) but after trying everything else for over 5 years on a dog who barks more incessantly then ANY other dog I have met (& I have had/trained dozens of dogs successfully), I figured I'd try it, but monitor it closely.
As it turns out I need not have worried about the cruelty aspect with this collar, though I would still monitor it, because it's seems way to cheaply made to trust NOT to malfunction, which could possibly let your dog, who may have become addicted to the Buzz as my dog seems to be, to OD accidentally, or it might even cause the dog to experience spontaneously combustion... Who knows for sure?!
After returning the first one I got (thinking it was defective), I was convinced by the 2nd that USELESS summed up the collar as a training aid!!!
The collar goes off randomly (& very seldom) even in 'Test Mode', & then starts with a 'Warning' Vibrate, followed by a very low voltage shock, before delivering the full dose (after which it goes to 'Sleep' & lets your dog bark for the next 3-5 min before coming back on.
Maybe this would work on a 3-5lbs dog, but my 30lbs dog seems like he wants to catch a Buzz from it, & actually seems to get excited & bark more when I put it on him... In the meantime my company, & I are not amused, & it spoils our Buzz!!
