I have ridden around 400 miles with shoes and have some issues with them.

1.) the two velcro strap latching is not sufficient to tighten these shoes around the vital parts of the foot, particularly the arch and the toe box.
2.) the material feels cheap and doesn't mold to the foot
3.) the sole is very soft and scratches easily.

On one particular ride where I rode around 40 miles, these shoes actually bruised the soles of my feet because they fit so poorly. No, they are not the wrong size, that is not the issue. I have a "normal" foot, not to wide and not too narrow and I have a nice arch.

At this price, there are simply better options.

Hands down best deal for me and my feet, wallet too!!

For the price these shoes are great for what I needed them for. I needed shoes for my spin class 2/3 times a week because the balls of my feet were just ruined from strapping in my regular Nike's. I went to REI and talked to a guy and everything there and at the local bike store was just way out of my budget. $100-150 for a pair of road bike shoes?!? PSH. Anyways I got road vs mtn because I needed a more sturdy stiff sole. I have horrible feet issues. I am a womans 10, men's 8. I ordered a 43 Eur and am able to put my ortotic carbon inserts in them with plenty of room. The toe box is perfect and my toes aren't mashed and they ventelate well. I've gotten 50 miles in so far and don't understand why I waited so long. $59 shimano road shoes, $18 shimano SPD cleats - $77 for a good set up.... I'm stoked. And so are my feet. Ride on :) 2 days free AP shipping too. Got here on time in perfect condition.

Great support on both the down and upstroke and easy ...

My first clipless shoes ever. Arrived somewhat smaller than I expected, but it turns out that thats how its supposed to fit. Great support on both the down and upstroke and easy to get into. I chose this model specifically for the "velcro" bands which was recommended for triathlon cycling and was typical for the dedicated tri range of products (which was a lot more expensive). They work well here -- easy open in and out, no worries.

Definitely recommended.

Great shoes

These shoes fit perfect and the toe box is a good size. I ordered size 41 (US 7.5-8). I normally wear size 8 and these fit the bill. These are my very first pair of cycling shoes and I had to go Shimano due to the many positive reviews, especially for this shoe. Luckily, I was able to save some money on these since they had a pair labeled "used" for sale of my size so I swiped them up. This will be a great switch from using Pumas and strapless toe clips, which did the job just fine but I just felt I had to get actual cycling shoes, along with pedals and cleats.

I finally switched to a traditional road bike shoe instead of using my multi-purpose MTB shoe and have to say it was a wise decision. I can pedal all day long in these kicks! They super light and ventilated! Well worth the money!
