Best Buy sells this brand, and I researched and read everything I possibly could about ASUS, products, customer reviews, tech mags and blogs, and company information when shopping for a new PC a few months ago. It is NOT a cheap "best saver" brand or company like Acer, for instance. They have high accolades in consumer electronics and I would pick ASUS over Dell or HP products easily.
First, this has BIG aesthetics, sleek, sturdy scored base and has almost a Star Trek aspect to it. It won't tip over easily at all, and when you adjust the angle of the screen, it glides amazingly smoooooth, nothing catches or creeks. It is these kinds of things that show you the quality aspect in this brand. No cheap plastics or hinges.

Compatible with Windows 8 and is Energy Star Certified (Aren't most LED screens?). I found the screen very responsive compared to those I have tried in the past on display, & the resolution with photos all I would ever need and clear and beautiful. Like a Sony HD tv. I have never owned a touch screen so my tech knowledge is limited, you will have to seek out the true tech geeks on the those questions I won't pretend.

You can tap, drag, pinch, zoom with your fingers like touch screens on your tablets and smart phones. Printing photos is easy as there is a cool onscreen grid you choose for photo size and view actual print size before sending to printer. No printer boxes to open. Comes with DVI cable, VGA cable & USB cable so not going to get gigged having to buy the cords for it. Note this model is not HDMI. ASUS is a brand worth looking into for your new monitor.

I am using it right now...It works very well and has held up very well.

Others have provided the technical aspects, and that is not my forte so I will simply review this as a novice - for others out there in the same boat.

It has enough plugs for anything I've needed to plug into it; USB, earphones, etc.

It is not too bright - and my eyes are sensitive. I'd say the light is just right.

You can use both a mouse click and your fingers, to touch and move the screen. You do not need to unplug your mouse or do without your mouse. You can plug in your mouse as normal, and choose either it or to use your hands to touch the screen. There are times either will come in handy. Such as...when the cat is literally sitting on the mouse. :)

The colors are good. I have no complaints. The picture is sharp.

I was used to a giant screen before and I sometimes miss being able to stretch a document or page to its full height; but this screen is wider than normal, and a normal height. At the same time, it's nice that it is not super tall because now I can see over the top of my monitor. I do not see the shape or size of the monitor being a problem for most people.

The monitor stand is steady and I have not had any issues with the monitor wiggling as I type, or wobbling at all.

In short a very good monitor, especially at this price.

I'll give this monitor two stars because it was plug and play. I didnt have to load any drivers, which was nice. The main reason why I dislike the monitor is the base. It has a small neck which features a 'twist lock' to attach to the base plate. This connection is very loose, and on a normal monitor it would likely be acceptable, but on a touchscreen, the monitor sways back and forth anytime you touch it, making it feel really flimsy and cheap. I gernerally like ASUS monitors, but this base is just awful. Luckily I could use the base from the older monitor this one is replacing, as they both have 100mm VESA mounts.

I used this to replace an older Dell 17" LED screen. Taking it out of the box, the first thing I noticed was how light it was compared to the one I was replacing. It was also about 1/2" thinner but it was a little smaller than I expected. It comes with all the necessary cables.

Installation was a cinch. I just unplugged the old cords and cables and plugged them in, no need to replace them. The new display has DVI and VGA plugs but no HDMI, which is surprising. The plugs go straight out from the back which makes them easier to plug in than my old ones which go up the bottom. There is also a plug for USB (for touch screen) and Kensington lock.

Image quality is great, it looks fantastic. I can't say enough about it. Touch screen is responsive and works well. The screen is high gloss. I always used to hate it when people would come up and point to something on my screen and then touch it! This is one screen I won't have to worry about that. One thing I like about ASUS is that the build of the screen appears to be very high quality. Everything is well made and sturdy. If you're looking for a 19.5" touch screen monitor, I would highly recommend this.

Edit: Currently using this as a second screen for a laptop. Screen quality is very good.

Edit 2: Still no problems with it.
