My son really likes this toy. Yes, it is small - close to being as small as a Hotwheel or Matchbox when in car mode. It's fairly easy to transform. I recommend keeping with the age suggestion though which is 6 and up. I bought it for my 9 year old and he does well with it while my 5 year old has tried to play with it and it was a near tragedy as he almost broke it while trying to transform it and he's been around transformers since birth so it's not that he has no clue how.

It's a nice addition to any transformer collection. Every child that loves transformers needs a dog/car one!

I was trying to purchase the 6 inch tall version of this toy. When I read the product description, it did say the height was 6 inches, but upon delivery of the product, I realized then that the box was 6 inches tall and the toy was only 2 inches tall. Needless to say I was disappointed. The toy quality itself is fine, I just wish the description of size was more clear.

This toy does transform but you need little hands to do so. The size was smaller than expected (maybe a little bigger than a hotwheel toy) but my son loved putting it in his pocket and keeping it away from baby sister. I do like that it is portable but I still wish it was a little bigger.
