Great for yucky creams!

I saw this on Pinterest and immediately thought "that's so silly- why not just use your fingers for free?!"

The reviews were great so I figured why not try it- I could always return it! It came in 2 days and when I opened it I showed it to my husband and said "Look at this thing! Isn't it crazy that someone would invent this?".

We haven't used our fingers since. Our daughter had horrible diaper rash and nothing was helping. We ended up having to use Calmosterine (adult diaper cream) on her, which works MIRACLES but is like a thick glue. It's sticky, it's hard to spread, it gets on everything and it doesn't come off...but it's the only thing that works so we're sticking with it. It doesn't wash easily off this tool (I don't know if other creams do or not), but we use a wipe and it comes off. But our hands are clean and it's not 10 minutes of washing repeatedly to get it off our fingers. It's also great if only one of us is changing her and trying to get her dressed before she runs away.

The suction cup doesn't work great for us, though. It may be because of the weight of the cream we use, but it doesn't seem to really stick well. We have to place it strategically on the bookcase while we finish up or it will fall over and get cream on something else. But we use it every night and I'm pretty sure my husband would refuse to use the cream without now that he's spoiled.

Definitely get this if you're a frequent diaper cream applier!

I thought this was stupid and gimmicky

Ya know....I am pediatric nurse, I was a newborn and a NICU nurse before...I have 2 kids...so obviously I have changed A LOT of diapers. I thought this was stupid and gimmicky. DEFIANTLY one of those things you buy when you're a first time Mom and you never babysat a day in your life. BUT I have to say-I LOVE ours. Spreads the cream nice and even. And when you're wrestling a 10 month old who wants NOTHING to do with getting his diaper changed-its nice to just set it down and have your hands clean to hold the little stinker down!

My advice?...buy it before you need it!

I thought this was rediculous the first time its existence was mentioned. Now that I have been battling a diaper rash with one twin and using preventive creams with the other one, the baby bum brush is a valuable tool. I found the 2-pack perfect for my twins. I'll have several diaper rash creams to review here soon, but I used this with triple paste, destine, boudreax's, Burts Bees and a Walgreens paste (as I said it's a battle) and the brush truly does make a difference. I'm spending extra time removing the cream from my hands. I can just use sanitizer or spray after a diaper change. With twins that's less time spent listening to my babies cry because they want a bottle, or comfort or goodness knows what! There's no more cream in my hair, on my clothes, their clothes or my oranges (That was the final straw...didnt clean all the cream from my fingers nails, peeled and ate an orange...ate about a 1/4 teaspoon of boudreaux's cream...well it's supposedly all natural). I simply sqiurt (tube) or scrape (tub) some cream onto the spatula and apply it thickly to my babies bottom. When I was using my fingers I would scrape or squirt 2X, with this spatula...I'm using one pass. I am one more person who agrees that this tool will save thick product. I have not used it for a more oil based protectant like angel baby, earth mama bum cream. I use so little of this product with my fingers, I worry I would waste product with the spatula.

If you are looking for a unique baby shower gift the mom-to be doesn't even know she needs, a way to simplify your diaper change routine or if you are thinking..."I don't need this, it's silly."...trust me you need it, want it and should try it. I battled diaper rash for 3 days before I bought it and another 3 before the box arrived. I can honeslty say this product made a difference and has earned a permanent place on top of my changing table.

YES! I know this product seems silly to some but I love it. Changing a diaper and having to get hard to remove cream on your hands while finishing the change and dressing the baby is a pain. Wasting a wipe while baby is half diapered is also a disaster half the time. I can't stand to get my hands messy so this is a life saver for that reason alone. If you are using a tub of ointment it can prevent you from putting bacteria back into the mix as well. I just keep mine in the diaper caddy but my son loves to play with the suction cup so my only compaint is keeping it out of his hands!! I give this at every baby shower now!

this works great it is a very odd idea but this so works. I never would have thought in a million years that i would actually use this but for butts it works great. I no longer have that film of past on my hands that takes two washing to get off. For a dad it is just like any tool but one you actually use!

Don't wipe cream off too hard, it will stretch out.

Was great at first, it was like icing a cake.. but with baby butt instead. After wiping cream off a few times, the tip of the applicator stretched out and rippled. The cream doesn't apply smoothly anymore. It's still worth its weight in gold, just wish it was better quality.
