Platform for Display: PC DiscEdition: PC Disc and Headset Bundle

At the time of writing this review this bundle was only $79.99 I believe this is a pricing error as a standalone program cost $99 as of right now. So this is a very good deal and should be jumped on as soon as possible if you look to get into voice dictation.I personally do not use a headset and use a tabletop microphone for my dictation. The reason being I can barely use my arms let alone my hands me putting on a headset is one of the most ridiculous looking endeavors one could ever witness. My hair gets messed up I had of knocking my glasses off it is really a tragedy of epic proportions.

Here is the setup that I use for both my Mac and PC.
My mixer Behringer UB502 Eurorack UB502 Mixer (5 Inputs) This microphone: Sennheiser E835 Dynamic Cardioid Microphone
I run a tabletop mic stand and it works like a charm. The total package runs about $130 but I think having an XLR mic setup does give me better voice recognition.

But I believe at the end of the day a headset will offer you better voice recognition but I can't stand putting on a headset as it's too much of a hassle.

This is my review of Dragon NaturallySpeaking using the software only and this review will not be edited (I will put in parentheses the correct text that I meant to say). In the second part of this review will focus on how to get the most out of Dragon and voice dictation in general, I recommend following its directions as you will get better accuracy using this software.Read more ›
