Love the shoes but the sizing is significantly off

These shoes are great. They are very comfortable, sturdy, and look great. I work at a hospital and am on my feet constantly and these shoes are very comfortable and supportive. I am a severe over-pronator and these shoes have great arch support on the inner part of my feet. They are professional enough to be worn at work with a shirt and tie but are casual enough to be worn with jeans.

The only reason I dock a star is because I had a lot of issues with the sizing. I wear a size 11-11.5 from almost every shoe company I have ever used, and so I bought a size EU 45, but when they arrived they were far too large. I downsized to the size 44, and found them to still be large even though ecco says that a 44 is equal to a size 10-10.5, so I again had to return them and get a size 43 (9-9.5 US), and these finally fit perfectly. I would highly recommend going to a shoe store that sells ECCO to find out what your size is by their standards before buying online or you risk going through the return and reordering process like I did.

Sharp looking and comfortable

ECCO is a quality shoe worth the price and then some. I always have trouble finding shoes that fit comfortably, particularly out of the box. The key with ECCO seems to be the ability to make a shoe slightly roomier than the average shoe without giving a clunky look or feel. I have a 'thick' foot but not a wide 'duck' foot. Often a regular fit is a bit snug and a wide ends up with heel slippage. With these, the heel stays nicely cupped and the toe box gives you a little extra space for that 'all day' comfort. The bluish gray color compliments very nicely for casual or business casual. I wouldn't wear these with a suit and tie but they take a pair of chinos or jeans to the next level. I'm sure they would go well with a pair of flat front slacks and a sports shirt /button up as well. I've gone with the tan laces for now as they stand out a little more and match the sole well. I will likely mix the blue in at some point but it is always good to have a second set of laces handy.

The heel on the sole is a little different looking. From the pictures you can clearly see how it tapers. It was almost enough to keep me from buying the shoes. I'm glad I rolled the dice. It doesn't look nearly as odd in person and you don't feel the taper while walking. It does make them look more casual but I was looking for upgraded casual. I've worn these twice since buying them. Both times all day without issue. I'd certainly pony up for 1 pair of these over a couple pairs of cheaper shoes for the same total money. In fact, given the quality I would say these are reasonably priced shoes of a higher bracket than the best shoes of their price tier. If you haven't tried better than bargain priced shoes, these are a great place to start. Your feet will thank you.

Oh Ecco what's going on with your sizing....

This is a tough one, since I didn't keep the shoes. I have owned and currently own quite a few Ecco shoes. Therefore I am very familiar with their product and sizing (so I thought). These are huge! I usually wear a 9-9.5 and buy Ecco's in size 8-8.5. This works pretty much 95% of the time. I would have to purchase these in 7-7.5 in order for them to fit (I think). Sorry Ecco, but I don't like walking around wearing clown shoes.

Fit and finish is excellent as always and I loved the color. They have very good arch support and just the right amount of cushion. Also, I do like the weathered worn look of the soles. I just had no confidence in returning these for a smaller pair, since the sizing seems to be way off.

Super shoes

I realized years ago that Ecco were perfect for me. This one continues in that trend. I find these shoes completely comfortable. My wife thought they were super hot as soon as put them on, so that's a plus.

Fit slightly larger than a pair of Ecco dress shoes in the same size. Otherwise a really nice looking pair of shoes. Look great with slacks and with jeans. Comfortable, and, as with all Ecco shoes, very comfortable to walk in.

Not one of the better Ecco shoes for arch support.

Arch support not as comfortable as other Ecco shoes I own. Doesn't give much relief to plantar fascia condition as I anticipated.

Great Bargain and Good Looking

Longer than other shoes

Love the color of the shoe. Longer than other pairs of Ecco shoes I have bought by 1/2 inch but otherwise fit OK. I guess they are going for a long foot look?
