Be sure to check the lights after you start the engine as the lights seemed fine when just the light switch was turned on without the engine. But when the engine was on and the light switch was on, it started turning on and off. At first thought it was defective bulbs but thought I gave it one more try and reversed the lights and voila, the flicker was gone. Normally you would think that this LED bulb would not turn on at all if it was installed incorrectly but never thought the turning on/off by itself would be solved by installing it backwards.

Follow up: the bulbs started to flicker again and suspect that these are running too hot and may be shutting down by itself. Wanted to use as license plate lights but switched to parking position/side marker lights and still the same thing. Will have to return.
