I purchased this about 2 weeks ago to replace a beloved Toshiba laptop whose graphics card was dying a slow death. I did a LOT of Review Reading before selecting this model and I am so glad I did! This is a TERRIFIC machine and the 23" LED widescreen display is such an improvement over smaller displays that you can't even compare them. Add in that this is a TOUCHSCREEN monitor and you've basically got one humongous tablet display with a huge hard drive, keyboard access, USB ports, HDMI port, smart card reader/writer, and DVD/CD reader/writer. Perfection!

I occasionally tinker with web sites, do a bit of writing, and do a lot of web research on a daily basis. I also work with spreadsheets, enjoy a little hobbyist video/audio editing, listen to music online, stream movies on occasion (rarely on the computer, but this one makes me reconsider that choice--display is like an HDTV), and utilize my computer (like most of us do) as a second brain. It tracks my schedule and family appointments & keeps me "on track" with daily reminders of chores, bills to pay, etc. Oh, and I like to shop at Amazon : ) In short, I don't think my life would be complete without an excellent Sidekick. So I needed to find a powerful performer & this is it.

Here's a brief Rundown:

1. Windows 8.1. What can I say? You have little choice nowadays, so upgrade you must. I've actually been pleasantly surprised by the sleeker OS that's 8.1; it loads FAST (4 seconds from turning the machine on) & I like the ability (for those of us who wish) to more or less retrograde the start screen to a Classic Desktop (sans "Apps"). It's more customizable than I was expecting & I'm happy, since no one will let me retrograde to Windows 3.1 any longer.Read more ›

Spent 4 hours on phone and charged $377.99 to fix computer. Unable to fix the problem. Now attempting to return the Lenovo C560

Just received the Lenovo and had high expectations for this new computer (going from tower to all-in-one). Unfortunately, I have now spent hours trying to resolve conflicts with the camera (for Skype) and the audio service that will turn itself off apparently without reason (that I am aware of). I have uninstalled the Skype App twice and still having problems with the camera working and the audio turning off (and having to restart).

My expectation is that if you sell a computer, it should work...right out of the box with no futzing around to make it work.
My skill level with computers is high but this is truly frustrating. I will give it one more try. If it doesn't work....off it goes.

Well, a few hours later and here I am, returning this item. First, let me say that I purchased a Lenovo laptop a couple of years ago...touchscreen with Windows 8....no problems. That influenced my decision to buy this product which is basically an oversized tablet. So I couldn't get Skype (which is a pre-installed piece of software) to run. When I first tried to launch the program, it asked me for my log in info, took that and then informed me that it could not find either a camera or audio output (both built-in). This is not a problem that I encountered with my laptop.

So off I go to Lenovo support (or lack thereof). The menu says if it is a software issue, press so and so. I do. A guy, MArk, answers and then informs me that I have reached "premium" support which involved money (to which I said absolutely not for a day old computer). He says he will transfer me to the appropriate workgroup. A guy named Jeff answers and he could not understand 90% of what I was saying without my shouting and having to use A/apple,S/Sam,etc.Read more ›

The monitor quality is excellent. Windows 8.1 is Windows 8.1 - I can't hold that against Lenovo. The touchscreen is very responsive. and accurate. I have used it almost exclusively (as opposed to the keyboard) for several weeks now and I have not experienced any miscues or needs to double tap. The WiFi has also been flawless so far.

I really love this computer! I had given up desktop computers years ago in favor of a laptop. But, when my current laptop indicated that it was about to quit; Since I have a tablet, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with another laptop or not. I read about this All-in-One Touchscreen and decided to go with it. I do have to say that getting all my files transferred from my laptop to my new computer wasn't as easy as I had hoped it would be -- matter-of-fact it was a pain because Windows 8 disabled the easier functions of Easy Transfer. But once I finally got through the more cumbersome process, the computer itself is wonderful! I love the touchscreen but do still use a wireless keyboard and mouse for times when it is too easy to "fat finger" a choice. Very glad I made this choice!!
