FYI, this review is for the 9 volt batteries. Amazon apparently groups the reviews for all of their battery styles together. I can't really help with that.

Batteries were just a tiny bit longer than the ones they were replacing. This was a problem in my carbon monoxide detector... But the battery compartment is finicky to battery size. I imagine this would work fine in most places, so long as the battery compartment isn't too fancy.

By my measurements, the AmazonBasics battery is the same size as another heavy duty battery that won't fit in my CO detector. These batteries are 0.6mm longer and 0.6mm wider than a standard duracell battery.

My photos attached show some measurements... Which may not be perfect but hey I don't get paid for this:

1: The length measurement of an Amazon Basics battery (47.96mm), along side a Duracell (clearly shorter) and another brand "Heavy Duty" battery.
2: A measurement of the difference in thickness between the Amazon Basics and the Duracell battery. (0.59mm thicker)
3: A measurement of the difference in length between the Amazon Basics and the Duracell battery. (0.6mm longer)

Wow! Amazon batteries? I thought they would be just like the regular cheep-o batteries you might find in the dollar store, but boy was I wrong! These lasted as long as the big name brands! The packaging is also super-easy to open, and you never have to worry about cutting your hand on the thick plastic like some other manufacturers. Nice, simple cardboard box with heat-shrink wrapping keeping then from falling all over the place. The plastic snaps with a single bend and the batteries are free! I'll continue to buy these in the future.

I have a Carvin electric bass guitar that has, like thousands of other instruments, an electronics module powered by two 9V batteries. When my latest set of Duracells began to fade, I popped in a couple of these and expected to be back in business. Wrong! I got no sound at all. I did the "tongue test" to verify that the batteries were alive (yow!), and double-checked I'd installed them properly. Zilch. In desperation I put the old Duracells back in, and they worked just fine.

I'm an electronics engineer and this was a problem I had to find. On close examination, here's the only possibility I can come up with: the metal + and - terminals of the Duracell battery project slightly farther from the battery's case than the Amazon's do. Apparently this allows them to reach the two contacts inside the bass. Also, the Amazon battery is a bit thicker than the Duracell, but I don't think that's the source of the problem.

These would probably work fine in any application that has an actual battery clip that snaps onto the battery terminals. But for "drop-in" installations, you'd better verify that they work.

I have bought lots of "Amazon" branded batteries and they were always products of Japan and were of very high quality. This last pack of 9 volt batteries are from China which does not please me, they are 40 years behind Japan in quality control in virtually every area of manufacturing.

To be more specific, I will add that these batteries have less capacity than the Japanese made ones. I haven't made comprehensive measurements on watt-hour ratings but I have noticed decreased levels and have carefully weighed them which is a pretty dependable way to compare alkaline batteries (1)...these are about 17% lighter which correlates fairly closely to storage (2) capacity.

1: This is not necessarily true of lithium cells
2: Technically, batteries do not "store" electricity, they "make" it, by chemical reaction

Caution: These are slightly longer than standard 9V batteries - so they won't fit in some applications

As good as the other leading brands. I tested them under load on a battery tester and they actually read higher than Duracell counterparts. They fit my smoke detectors where some other brands would not. Good buy.

I guess they're alright depending on what you would use them for. I use them in an e-stim device, and they last, at best, 50% as long as major brand-name 9v batteries. They're quite a bit cheaper, but I won't be buying them again, because I have to replace them so often for what I use them for.
