A deceptively simple canvas boat shoe sneaker, the Otto is designed for barefoot wear and features Tretorn's Swedish Massage Teknology footbed for comfort. A refreshing take on a classic style, the unisex Otto Canvas is sure to be a summer staple.

Tretorn has always been huge proponent of a good walk outdoors, be it downtown or through the woods. In fact, we believe we have a responsibility to ensure the "goodness" in those walks by developing the latest in footwear innovation.

For our latest quest, we looked to our Swedish heritage and its good things for inspiration. Turns out, it's harder than you'd think to craft a shoe inspired by meatballs—so we opted for Swedish Massages.

Our Swedish Massage Teknology is a removable, embossed footbed that reflects the foot's pressure points. While walking, the design massages these strategic zones to enhance comfort, support, and natural foot movement. It's made from a soft, lightweight EVA foam and is left exposed (note the absence of a sockliner) so the foot can get superior 'foot-to-foam masseuse' contact.

Apparently these are men's sizes shown!

I knew this was a unisex show but I couldn't tell if the sizes shown to order were mens or womens, especially seeing as how I viewed the item after searching in the women's shoes page. I contacted customer service twice to ask them and both times they said they had no idea. So I took a chance and ordered my usual women's size (actually half a size lower because the reviews said they were big). Finally got them in and....they were huge. Like falling off my feet huge. Definitely men's sizing!! So now they will be returned. Pretty disappointed because other than that the shoe is really nice and seemed comfy and I want to wear them!

These are great

These are just what i was looking for casual yet chic. They run a little large if i could change any thing i would order a size smaller, but i am keeping these and will order another pair one size smaller. They are very comfortable especially the bubble type inserts.

Buy 1/2 size down - great shoe!

I bought a size 9, when I'm normally a size 9 1/2 and they fit perfect. Other reviewers were right about being a size and half too big. Really low profile shoe with bumpy "massage" cushion. Stylish, cheap, and simple. Best value shoes I've bought on amazon.

Boat shoes that look good for a fair price

After going through a search of many boat shoes, these are actually perfect. At first, I accidently bought a size larger however that worked out just perfectly. My feet are rounded, but the shoe is somewhat of a point. I do recommend to others if they have wide or rounded feet to do the same as it won't fit you to your actual size, and you'll need to get a half size or a full size larger. They are simple and look better than most of the ones I've seen. I've worn many loafers, moccasins and boat shoes. These are pretty much a good fit in to all the one's I've tried and used.

As someone who switch out of slippers normally and switched to sockless shoes, I do recommend these in particular. There is a discomfort as your feet get smelly if you don't have the proper counter measures. When you buy these shoes, it's best to buy a pair of odor eliminating insoles. The pair or Tretorns come with a polyester or rubber type insole that is cushion for your feet, and that small 3 millimeter cushion does a lot for long distance walks. I do recommend when you put in new odor eliminating insoles is that you keep the other insoles inside as well for a better cushion.

These shoes look and feel great.

Makes me want to buy a yacht.

With all the money I saved on these boat shoes, I want to buy a yacht! Okay not really but, they are a very comfortable summer shoe with a great insider liner that has little ridges so you feel like you are being massaged all day long. Not a lot of impact absorption, but great for a stroll. I have a narrow size 12 foot and these fit very comfortably.

Love these shoes

My son had on a pair of these and I asked if I could try them on. (He and I wear the same size.) I liked them immediately and went to Amazon and bought a pair. Out of the box, I wore them for 3 hours with no socks. I knew the shoes had little arch support, but the insole is removable. I can and do wear them with the original insole (very comfortable) around the house. When I take a long walk, I replace the insole with a high arch insole that I own (and use in my golf shoes). I get the support I need and walk, walk, walk...
As an fyi, I had plantar faciitis about 5 years ago which I think I got from walking 18 holes in an old pair of golf shoes. I'm probably over cautious about arch and heel support now because I don't want the affliction again.

Great, comfortable, shoes but zero arch support

They definitely look a bit cheaper than some of the nicer boat shoes but they also handle water better as well. I flooded my laundry room (long story) and these got soaked in soapy, slightly moldy, water and have 24 hours they were completely dry and smelt great. Speaking of smelling great, I wear them all the time without socks and never once has my sweaty feet caused the shoes to smell.

There are some boat shoes I'd throw on for a nice dinner along the coast but these are not them. These shoes are much better suited as a replacement for sandals. But that's not why I gave them 4 stars. They have no arch support at all, and if you have high arches don't expect to wear these for long periods of time or for long walks on the beach.
