I bought this cover the same day I received the phone because I was extremely conscious of scratching or damaging it. I've also bought a cheaper wallet case just in case I didn't like this one a Verus from Amazon. I've used this one for about a week, then I switched over to the other for about a week, and I must say the difference in quality is incredible. The other one kept opening and felt really flimsy, while this Case Mate felt so durable. Now the Venus one just sits in a box.

Pros:
++ The case stays closed, the importance of this cannot be stressed enough
++ It feels like real leather, it probably is too
++ Feels great in your hands
++ Easily fits 4 cards and some cash
++ Definitely makes the iPhone 6 look and feel safe
++ Just carry this one item instead ... of a wallet and a phone -> Reduces pocket clutter and how much you have to carry

This is a handsome piece and seems to be well-made from good materials. But keep in mind that it is not a "wallet" in the sense you're probably used to. It is designed to hold some I.D., a few credit/debit cards, and an iPhone for making Apple Pay purchases. Cash is strictly an afterthought. Bills must be folded and stuffed into a slot underneath the card holders. With one card per slot and no bills the case folds reasonably flat; at the moment my case holds eight bills and on its own stands open about 45 degrees. That works for me because the leather is pliable and the case still closes with modest pressure -- the pressure of being in a pocket is plenty. But three cards per slot and several bills, as one of the questioners asks about, would not really be feasible. The bills would be the problem, more so than the cards -- though three per slot would really be pushing the limit.

This is a very nice case if you modify your lifestyle to accommodate it or if you don't carry much in your wallet to begin with. If you want to carry a lot, though, you might look at the book-style cases instead.

I bought this case shortly after the iPhone 6 came out. I really like the appearance of the case - I think it looks very professional. My main complaint is the amount of space to carry cards. I have always used front-pocket wallets, so I have always had a very minimalistic wallet, but this has taken it to extremes. When I first got this case, I trimmed down the contents from my old, already thin, wallet. I was carrying two cards in each of the three slots, plus my driver's license. After only a month or so, the lining ripped. I have cut it down by one more card to minimize further damage. I will probably continue to carry the case until the lining rips the rest of the way because I like the appearance, but I expected better quality from Case-Mate, especially when this case cost $60.

Got It for Christmas. Like other reviewers said. If you put four cards in it it doesn't lay flat. It would better if they had put in a wider "spine" so it would lay flat with some stuff in it. It's replacing my wallet but it turns out that my Costco, insurancec, MS, license, debit etc is too much for it. That's my issue since it was clearly a four card design. Like a different reviewer noted, you might coçnsider a money clip as well. It's very elegant. The iPhone 6 snapped into the plastic tray and is very secure. The camera and flash is protected by the plastic tray. It's dropped a few times and is fine.i have not dropped it onto concrete. Buttons holes are perfectly aligned with the phones buttons and easily accessible. It's an executive wallet replacement and functions very well in that capacity. Some beer was splashed on it and the color did not fade. I would have give it a perfect five if the spine was larger so it could close flat with four cards and maybe a few bills in it. That was an engineering and design choice so I subtracted one star. I do recommend this.

Look and feel is very high quality. Nice not having to carry a separate wallet and cell phone. iPhone6 fits pefectly and securely inside. Only downside is that if you insert more than 4 cards, it starts to bulge. I use it for my work badge, my drivers license, 2 credit cards and 2 $20 bills. That covers me for everything i need to carry with me, not to mention my phone, and is pretty compact.

Just wasn't right for me. Great fit on the iPhone, snug with a solid feel. The leather case wouldn't close fully with only three cards in it. May have softened up with continued use but I wasn't willing to spend the time. Seemed well made and of high quality. Ordering the Pad and Quill model now as I like the color selection, the fact that it has an ID window, and looks to be better on the closing. Time will tell.

I've used this case with my iPhone 6s (technically not supported, but fits just fine) for about four months and it has many more good points than bad. I originally bought it at a Verizon store at MSRP and quickly returned it. I discovered there is a huge aftermarket of open box Casemates. If you get this case at a bargain like I did, its easily worth 5 stars.

This Casemate has a really snug fit, feels very nice to the touch and stays closed despite not having a magnetic clip. I especially like how the case has a roughly 1cm spine. This allows the front cover to wrap around the case to close it or completely behind it so its out of your way. All buttons are easily accessible and you can easily push the volume buttons when the case is closed. The case sits flat, keeping the protruding camera from touching the surface. The card pockets are well made and the extra sleeve for cash can eliminate the need to carry a separate wallet around.

The only real downside is the build quality for the price. My case spine is already crimped and deteriorating.

Overall this case is a winner, just look for a good deal on it. You'll see that this case resells for substantially less especially if its an open box.
