I love the functionality of the Yoga 2. Going from laptop to tablet was a useful and exciting feature for me as a student, an avid reader, and as a person who lays in odd positions whenever the mood strikes. Its versatility, lightness, and sleek design were pleasant to use and carry around anywhere.

My two biggest complaints, that took this product down to 3 stars, are the placement of two buttons: the power button and the close programs button (sorry internet for not using their technical terms). The power button is in the middle of the right side of the machine, which also happens to be in the perfect position to be pressed while holding it in laptop mode. So anytime I lay it on that side or simply carry the laptop from room to room whilst watching such important, life changing videos as Jenna Marbles and cute kittens, the computer will turn off. The other offensive button is the aforementioned "close programs button," which lays just inside of the volume keys. As volume keys tend to shift around from keyboard to keyboard, I have been incapable of always remembering their specific placement, and thus make the fatal error of closing programs in use, when all I wanted to do was adjust the volume.

If you are good at not accidentally swiping buttons on keyboards and computers, this is an amazing device. If you are someone who likes to practice yoga (har har har) or various gymnastic poses while on your computer, this is still a great device, with just a few first world problems attached.

Bought this Ultrabook after I cracked the screen of my Lenovo Yoga. I would consider this laptop the strongest 2 in 1 laptop on the market (besided the new Yoga 3 and the Yoga 2 Pro). The touchscreen is very responsive and the micro hdmi port is very handy. I wish they would've improved the touchpad; on occasion it can be very unresponsive in certain programs such as games and video and photo editing software, and Lenovo failed to improve the wifi conectivity (I still loose connection frequently). The biggest difference I see between the 1st and 2nd generation is the changed arrangement of the volume buttons and hdmi port on the side, and the backlit keyboard. Although the touchpad and wifi connectivity still need work, this laptop is a great choice for its portability and tablet capability (even though it may be considered too large for a tablet). Still a Lenovo Fan!

Got the laptop 4 days ago (3/2/15) and had problem with Touch Keyboard, at times it acts like a short cut menu instead of a keyboard.
Wanted to make sure that the laptop doesn't have SuperFish virus like program, so checked. What do you know, the laptop still came with it even after all the negative publicity on Lenovo. Got rid of the SuperFish program and then discovered that the Touch keyboard problem went away.
Ran MelwareByte and it found 2 SuperFish related melware so had to quarantine them.

Really like the laptop but cannot give it a high mark because of the security risk that came with it.
Just can't believe Lenono

Do not buy this computer, no matter how much they put it on sale. The engineering is deeply flawed and Lenovo has no concern that you've essentially wasted your money buying it. This computer barely functions and they refuse to do anything about it. After telling them my problems on the phone, they insisted that I pay for software troubleshooting service, knowing full well that I had tried everything the software "service" told me to do. They insisted I pay and then were no help. Software told me to beg hardware to fix the problem, which has been a problem from the start. They refused, but said I could pay more money to have the hardware fixed again.

I am still so sore that I bought this computer. With upgrade in memory and speed, I paid $2000 and the computer barely functions. The serious problems I've had with it are as follows:

1. The computer came with broken speakers. The first time I had it, before they replaced the motherboard for a reason I'll summarize below, I was able to follow some instructions online to fix the speakers. That was before I had a child and actually had time to futz about with this computer. After I got it back with a new motherboard, I experienced the same problem with the speakers only, this time, the online fix didn't work. Then the monitor went out again. When I took it back the second time, they were supposed to fix the speakers and they didn't. I got the computer back about 2 weeks after I delivered my child. Online, Lenovo just stopped trying to solve everyone's problem with this, and it is a common problem. They either couldn't fix it or they developed some internal strategy to charge for repairing all of these innate problems with this machine.

I have been using this computer since February. I must say that I really like it a lot. It's very light weight, has a nice keyboard, great screen and is super quick! I love how fast it boots. That's heaven. It did have that superfish program on it. I read about that in the reviews, and downloaded the removal tool. That was quick and easy, so it hasn't been a problem. I can't think of any negatives. One person was upset because it doesn't have a DVD drive. However, it tells you that in the specs. You have to decide what's more important to you, the light weight and thinness factor, or the DVD drive and make your decision there.
