Amazing! My puppy is a 7 month old Lab/Heeler mix and has started shedding like crazy. We have to sweep the floor everyday, at least every other day, and keep her off the couch and beds. I brushed her with this grooming tool and I swear I had enough fur to make another dog! I had been thinking about getting that other popular but, expensive grooming too but, am so glad to have this one!

Don't let the cheesy packaging fool you, this Quirk & Fergs dog brush is serious heavy-duty quality. We have an elderly, super thick haired, very sensitive, Border Collie that gets all kinds of gunk caught in her thick fur, especially burrs, and grooming can be a total nightmare at times. We like to have her groomed but it is so expensive for her size and amount of fur, so I had to find an alternative. I found it! This brush works excellent on her! Yay! I love to save money! Easy to handle (love teh ribbed handle) and very comfortable to use, even standing above in an awkward position. After teh blade fills up (and with my dog it fills up fasdt) a simple press of a button the hair gets pushed out where and when you want it, so less of a mess. I've lso noticed less hair in teh house since I have been spending a few minutes a day using this brush.

And, for the quality, I think this brush is a bargain. At Petco for example a brush similar to this one is almost $50!

Last summer, I purchased a comb from the groomer that was supposed to work on the "undercoat" of a furry dog, like a Border Collie for $20! It worked but you had to really work and pull hard and the dog hated it. This is MUCH more comfortable, and effective. My overly sensitive dog stayed and did not try to leave and That is a biggie for this dog.

I have used it about 3 times and each time gets easier because I am finally getting a handle on her thick winter coat.

My only concern is finding replacement blades because I know I will be wearing this one out in no time. Other than that, I am completely 100% pleased with the Quirk & Fergs brush.

So Long Expensive Groomer, Hello Extra $100 Bucks in My Pocket!

Awesome highly recommended!

I agree with other reviewers, this is an exceptional deal compared to what you would pay at a local pet shop chain. The brush is very well made, extremely sturdy. You can feel the weight built into it when you pick it up.

When you grip the handle they have built in a very comfortable thumb grip that to ensure the tool doesn't slip out of your hand and is comfortable as the pooch (or feline) is brushed. There is another palm grip as well, both working together regardless of which hand you are. #greatdesign!

The brush captures an enormous amount of hair! The brush comes equipped with a quick button that you push out to discard the hair without having to touch it (while you'll need to wash your hands anyways at least you don't have to dig into your brush}.

I would be HIGHLY interested in other products made by Quirk and Ferg because this brush for the price is absolutely exceptional. (Used on two labs, one yellow and one black. After each use we achieved a very shiny coat!)

I love this deshedding tool. I bought as an alternative to the furminator. I must say that I'm extremely pleased. It extracts both of my cats fur a short hair and medium hair without hurting them. They actual seem to find grooming time quite enjoyable now.

I had purchased the furminator in the past with another cat and these two but seem to be painful and hurt them when I tried brushing their coats. I was quite skeptical to try this deshedding tool but I'm so grateful that I did. That cat fur has decreased, their coats are silky, soft and shiny. A great product and really priced well!

It does exactly what it says, but there is a bit of pull and we switch brushes for a long session. I especially like the curved shape. As shedding season progresses, I expect it will pull less and be our major tool. The push button cleaning works, but it is easier to just rub it off into a trash bag. I am saving it hoping that the birds may enjoy it in their nests. Our Husky mix has a really thick and abundant coat so this will remain a major tool along with others. The handle is comfortable and it is well made with a good protective blade cover.
Really glad I did not spend $30.00 for a comparable one.

The Quirk and Ferg tool works as described on my short hair cat, but should work on dogs as well. It's unique in that the finely machined metal comb is contoured to fit animal bodies. Some may wonder why a good pet comb should cost as much as it does, but I believe it's the very finely machined metal comb that is important and more expensive to produce. It is easily removable and replaceable if ever needed, but should last indefinitely with careful storage. This comb has a hair eject feature that allows you to push a slide button to deposit the hair in a bag for disposal. My cat's fur is softer when well groomed and she likes having her fur carefully combed.
