Green Forest Tissue is 352 sheets/roll times 48 rolls divided by $52.25 yields 323 sheets / $1. Seventh Generation is 300 sheets/roll divided by $33.15 which yields 434 sheets / $1. However, the width of the 7th generation roll is 1/2" less or 89% as wide as the Green Forest rolls. That reduces the amount of paper one actually gets from the 7th generation roll down to 385 sheets / $1. So, for 90% post-consumer waste for the Green Forest we get 290 sheets post-consumer / $1. The 7th Generation has 50% post-consumer waste or 192 sheets post-consumer / $1. Hence, environmental bang for the buck yields Green Forest far in the lead because creating a market for post-consumer waste is half the environmental goal. Couple that with much better reviews for Green Forest and if your main goal is to be greener by buying this product for every dollar you spend, one's best choice is Green Forest. If one can't afford $52.25 up front then 7th Generation is a good choice. I also called the company and all the post-consumer paper comes from the midwest. The product is 100% made in the USA in Wisconsin I believe.

I have been a Charmin (or similar) user for years, but wanted to switch over to recycled content and also non-chlorine. I am very happy with this.

I can't agree that it's as cushy as the Charmin. But I find it better than most toilet paper I encounter and certainly better than the recycled paper I've encountered in others' homes.

Pros:
1. recycled content
2. non-chlorine and hypo-allergenic
3. way softer than other recycled paper I've encountered

Cons:
1. not entirely cushy (but totally fine)
2. disintegrates more easily than the mainstream high-end stuff.

I am completely happy with the compromises, and will keep getting this.

It may be a little picky to say so, but I was kind of annoyed that the width of the rolls is narrower than normal toilet paper. I had compared this multi-pack with another brand to make sure I was getting the best deal per sheet, but that didn't take into account a narrower roll size. So, essentially you're getting less. It just seems like a tricky way for them to save money. Otherwise, we really like the product, and we have always liked the Seventh Generation company.

I loved the old Seventh Generation TP that was 4.5" wide and wrapped in paper. I was surprised when my new subscribe and save shipment arrived with smaller rolls wrapped in plastic. We are going through toilet paper quickly and I feel like I am always changing the roll. I am no longer happy with this product and I will be canceling my subscription and looking for a new vendor that carries the original product.

This is not only a 'green' toilet paper, but it is actually better than the high priced over-advertised brand names out there competing with it. Just be sure you get this one, as apparently 7th Generation also has some very very very entry level ones which are too thin or crunchy for comfort. This fills the perfect balance and is a rare find for that. You should embargo the over-priced fancy brands where each sheet is like an entire bed blanket in size, weight and the number of trees cut down and amount of bleach used in processing...

This is the first time I've used Seventh Generation toilet paper and I'm pleased. I've been using Scott Tissue for years and wanted to try a less expensive brand that is soft, functional, and economical. Well, I have found the one. Each roll brings 300 sheets. And, it's two-ply tissue so it lasts longer. I like the soft feel and raised design for better performance. I did not receive a discount for this purchase. I paid full price.

Very disappointed. The rolls have been reduced to 300 sheets as well as narrower sheets. The rolls don't last and they flip-flop on the toilet roll dispenser, due to narrower size. I'm going back to Scott, which has 1,000 sheets and wider rolls. Seventh Generation should not have downsized the rolls this dramatically. I would have preferred a price increase. To put this in perspective, a friend of mine has been ordering 48 rolls for three years and they came individually wrapped and shipped in a large box. His last order arrived in a small box, and the rolls are packaged in 12 packs. He said the new rolls are much smaller in comparison to what he used to get and at close to the same price. Seventh Generation deceived us once, but won't again.

This was a great deal on bathroom tissue. The rolls are extra big and there is twelve to each bundle. In the box there are four bundles and you get forty eight rolls in all.
