I haven't tried it yet in hot weather so I don't know if the 100% polyester fabric will be comfortable enough.

Because I travel a lot, I'm hooked on ScotteVest clothes. I'd be ashamed to admit how many of their products I have. But my love of these clothes started with the vest, which I bought because of carryon limits in some countries--7 kilos total (15 pounds). I packed all my essential carry on stuff in my Scottevest vest. No one weighs the clothes. There are tons of pockets of different sizes. The biggest pocket is good for stashing my iPad mini, a paperback book, and ticket wallet with passport. Yes, all three. The other pockets hold my phone, charger and cord, extra power pack, sunglasses, regular glasses, keys, wallet, lip balm, tissue, pens, little notebook, earbuds, essential meds and jewelry. Basically, it's my purse for those things I might otherwise lose. I want those things right next to me. Purses can be left behind accidentally at TSA or on board the plane---which I've done. But I would never forget to put the vest back on. When I arrive at my destination I can unload and then just carry whatever I need for the day. The pockets have zippers, so I don't have to worry about things slipping out or being pickpocketed. I have worn the vest when horseback riding, hiking, and walking in Paris, where pickpockets and scams are rife. Before getting this Scottevest vest, I had bought others from Magellan and other places. Those were bulky in comparison and when the pockets were filled, the look was that of a photographer on safari. I wanted something I could also wear around town or in a museum. The Scottevest remains smooth looking on the outside even when stuffed. I also love the RFID pocket when I am standing in a long line, where RF theft ID can be an issue.

From past experience I know these vest run small especially if you start loading them up with water bottles and iPad. So I ordered up a size and it fits roomy so I know that once we pack it with the essentials it wont look all lumpy. From past experience the more secure you keep your gear when sightseeing in those major cities the better.

I typically wear a large, but had to return it for a 2x (gives more room anyhow). Wore this for a week of traveling with photography equipment. I wore a strapless dress with boots and it looked great!

This lightweight vest is perfect for traveling or outdoor activities. All of the interior pockets allow me to eliminate carrying a purse. The vest is a little on the pricey side, but is well made and suits my purposes. My only criticism has to do with sizing. Unless you are petite, I would order up two sizes. One size up would have been enough for me if I didn't fill the pockets, but once I got all of my electronics and other items situated, I couldn't zip the front of the vest up. I ended up sending the first one I ordered back to go up another size.

It looks very tailored and is very well constructed. It will obviously be somewhat lumpy and heavy when filled. But I am very pleased with my vest. I usually wear a Medium but bought a Large to allow for packing.

I not only like this vest, I like the idea of it. It gives me a great feeling of security to keep my cell phone, money, credit cards etc. in a place that is difficult to be grab by a roving pickpocket. With the wide variety and size of the pockets, I can carry as much or at little as I choose, including my full size iPad. I have noticed that the two way zipper has to be positioned very accurately in order to get the vest to zipper up, but it's seems perfectly reasonable that you need to use care in doing so.

Glad I took the recommendation to get a medium. I am usually a small to medium size 8 woman but the extra room of a medium vest looks good in black with a jacket over it. Filled the pockets and don't have to carry a bag - WONDERFUL! I love sightseeing without anything dragging on my shoulders. I also found it easier to shop, no need to keep an eye on a bag while you try on shoes etc. Just had to transfer the cash to a small wallet then stashed it and all my other stuff throughout the lovely inside pockets. Feel SO much safer from the pickpocket crowd,that's for sure. What a relief.

One more important caveat - the zipper is hard to get seated properly. To get it to go all the way into the bottom of the groove so the teeth engage properly, I took a file and gently sawed off the impediment bit of extra plastic. Its too bad they cannot manage the zipper quality better on such an otherwise good product.
