Really horrible smell on this item. And has packaging that says it contains chemicals known to cause cancer. The description said it would fit my steering wheel but it ended up being too big. It also makes my entire car smell like burning plastic.

This was warped and did not fit well on my average sized steering wheel. It slipped when I was driving which can be a HUGE safety issue. Do not purchase this if you are looking for a good fit that will not slip while you are driving.

This steering wheel cover emited a horrible toxic oder which caused our eyes to water, left a foul taste in our mouths and gave us a headache. We promptly took it off and hung it outside to air out. It's been hanging out for a month now and still smells as bad as when we got it. Maybe next year at Christmas time we will use it for a wreath at the cemetery, it shouldn't hurt anyone there.

I chose the right size, but it ripped while trying to install it. I bought a different one of the same size, and it fit perfectly. The weave design doesn't allow for much of any stretching, which is absolutely necessary for installation, and so the cover fits the steering wheel snugly. Not recommended.

This cover fits my wheel nicely. Was difficult to get on but not too bad. The only thing that isn't exactly pleasant is the smell. It's not bad in the car but even after washing my hands the smell just won't go away. I do love the pattern though and for that reason will not be giving it up!

I am so torn about this steering wheel cover.

PROS:
*It is beautiful! It really made my car look nice... first luxury item I have purchased for myself in a long time - It's very pretty.
*It keeps the steering wheel warm
*Went onto the wheel fairly easily, although I did break a nail in the process. It stays in place & isn't going anywhere
*I like it

CONS:
THE SMELL. OH MY GOD THE SMELL IS HORRIFIC! When we first got the package we had to air it out for a week. I finally put it in my car. The smell is so strong that when I drive it rubs off on my hands. I have to wash my hands immediately after driving. It also gives me headaches. I don't know how much longer it will take to air out, I think I've had it for two weeks now.

It seems like a no brainer to just get rid of it, except that I spent money on it, and it really is beautiful. If the smell goes away, I'll be so happy with it. But right now, that smell is a pain in the butt. It is a strong "automotive chemical" type of smell. Not happy about it, it's really strong, but I have high hopes it will go away!

Not so sure if I like this item or not yet. Time will tell!

I like it, but I would advise you to heed the warnings about this item being difficult to install before purchasing it. If my steering wheel was just a few millimeters larger, it would certainly not have fit. I am incredibly surprised it did not rip in half when I was trying to put it on. Ultimately it worked out for me, but it may not for you. My car is an '05 Nissan Altima, by the way.
