Great blender, quite a workhorse!

I replaced my huge, standard-sized Vitamix with this one. I like the S30 because it's smaller, yet I don't see a discernible loss in blending power. Also, one of the women I work with bought herself a blending cup, and I bring the entire blender to work several times a week and we both make smoothies for lunch. I'd never have been able to do this with my old Vitamix, which I gave to a friend. I don't miss it at all. Bonus: the red color is very cheerful!

I researched many of the other blenders but the fact that this was made in the USA made all the difference. The blender works great. I have used it to make smoothies and have not had one problem. It blends very well and smoothies come out creamy. Cleaning the unit is very easy. Storage is not a problem - the unit is so small I am able to leave it out on the counter.

I was expecting this to more powerful. I follow the directions and the unit will still get hot and "time out" It's frustrating...contemplating returning it. The only time it does not time out is when I use much less liquid and ice....like 1/4 way ...not even 1/2 full. Anyone else with this complaint? Maybe it's just me!!!

I like it but wished it came with a cup that ...

I like it but wished it came with a cup that is not so deep that would be better suited for chopping and scrapping ingredients out. My machine has a high pitched whistle which is a bit annoying.
