I had originally reviewed this product as 1 star as I had found the back case to be frustrating until I discovered the technique below. The case is solid and while it's not the most slim case, it's not that bulky either. I've dropped my phone a couple of times and the hard case protected my iphone.
What changed my review is that I did find a technique that made opening the back card holder to be effortless. It does require two hands but it's pretty simple as the photo shows. Basically, you use one thumb (left) positioned horizontally on the device to push down the other thumb (right) positioned vertically or vice versa.

I like what this case offers over other "normal" cases (the wallet feature), but the single major drawback of the case is how slippery it is from the plastic used in its construction. This makes it difficult to open the wallet portion and even to hang on to the device itself. I ended up using some "Gun Tape" another product I bought and reviewed favorable on Amazon. If the case had this texturing on it from the factory I'd likely rate the case 5 stars. 3 stars seems too low for the quality of the case, so maybe 3.5 if there were such a rating.
FWIW I use the wallet feature to hold an RFID "keycard" used for access into a restricted area (i.e. Daycare). Room for spare cash as well (which is not often considering what daycare costs these days).

Loved the case! Came in about a week , the pink stains easy but can be wiped off! Thought I wouldn't like it because im used to thin cases But, it actually wasn't to big and easy to get used to!!

I love otterbox, but this product stinks! It's about impossible to get open. Sure you want it secure, but damn, it's so difficult that my wife isn't confident she could open it to use her CC, etc. Tried the thumb "technique." It's still ridiculous. I opened and closed it 40-50 times to perhaps break it in. Na, not worth it. Thanks but no thanks otterbox. All that said, I will be replacing this one for an Otterbox. symmetry series it is I guess.
