I got these at CVS for my cat who needed extra help getting up on the bed. They are a little on the short side and are not very wide but they are sturdy. As for the slipping just get some of the non-skid carpet stuff and stick it on the legs so it doesn't slid. It folds away and fit under my bed when not in use. It is worth what you pay for $20 at cvs. If you want something taller and wider I would suggest other stairs.

I bought these from another store ($19.99) but the 'no-skid' part is still slippery, the stairs are way too narrow, and they're not tall enough to reach my bed. I tried bribing the dog with cat food to get her to go up and she wouldn't go past the first too steps (she'll usually go anywhere for food!). Only practical for shorter beds, maybe a couch.

Works great. I had one before with a cloth cover but I found that my dogs fur would just stick to it and id have to run a lint remover to get rid of the stuck fur. So when I saw this, I was excited because it's all plastic with the rubber steps. Would be nicer if the rubber part was wider/deeper. That's one star off because of it. What really annoys me though is that though this is designed really well, what would've been a great steps that would blend in with my furniture, it's now a freaking advertisement/ billboard in my room. I can't peel off the label no matter what. And it's 4 big labels on all sides except where it leans on the furniture. So when/if you do buy this product, make sure you buy some goo be gone. Otherwise, go get something else. Not worth the trouble.

The giant labels that run up both sides are glued on & won't come off without a major undertaking with Goo Off and a lot of scrubbing. Turns out they have invented stickers that simply peel off but this manufacturer chose a label that is too much trouble to remove. The stairs are hollow plastic and the no-skid steps are anything but. All three dogs refuse to use. I will list them for free on Craigslist just to get rid of them.

Small area on the steps that is covered by the non slip surface. No way to keep the steps themselves from moving on wood and tile. not made for short, small, old dogs. My dog fell off when going up the steps she is a 13 year old Pomeranian.

These are very sturdy stairs. The tread surface is a bit slippery if the dog tries to run up them as my little guys do. I bought a $2.00 door mat, cut it lengthwise to fit, and covered the treads. Now it is perfect and I love that it folds away so easily.

It took a little coaxing, but I was finally able to get both of my dogs to go up and down these steps. I gave this item 3 stars out of 5 because the "non slip" part of the stairs is, in fact, quite slippery. My fix for this was to superglue cut-to-size washcloth fabric to the steps for traction. Since I have done that, both dogs use them without hesitation. Good for the price, even though it took a little extra work on my part to get them just right for my dogs.

There were two sets of dimensions on the listing and really didn't know how tall the steps would be when unfolded. My intended use was for my dog to reach a bed. However, the steps reach only the exact height of the box spring not to the mattress. My dog is too scared to use the steps so doesn't matter anyway. He's sticks with what he is used to which is jumping on and off the bed which I know is not going to be good for him down the road. I'll have them for in the future. I would not use these steps for a dog bigger than mine. He is a thicker beagle/cocker spaniel/mix and weighs 35lbs. Overall the steps feel sturdy enough. Most of the portable steps are much more expensive than these.
